88432 Starting Game of Love

I am sure it will meet the Valentine requirement by either someone being alone or someone falling in love based on the plot summary. I will let you know which one it fits once I finish.

Ok so since I am new to this and confused, are we all doing this Valentine's Day mini challenge? Do they have these mini challenges often? What exactly do I need to do?

It took a few chapters to get into the writing style but I like the book and the point of view it gave.

I agree about the recent adaptations. Eragon has been the worst adaptation I have seen in a long time. It was a great book and the movie was a complete disgrace.

88432 Ok so here is where my newbie ness is kicking in. Laura do you tell us what cards you need to have filled for this hand then we read those books or do we just start reading from our list and you use them where you can?

Bloodsuckers: The Vampire Archives, Volume 1

It says edited with an introduction by Otto Penzler.

88432 I do have a question before I try to look it up in the other discussion folders. I have a book I want to read that is made up of short stories by various authors, it is 416 pages, can I use that in this challenge for anything other than a wild card? Since each story has different main characters and there are lots of authors I didn't know if I could actually count any of them.

88432 OK I think I have my book list and the connected UNO points figured out:

The Last Orphans 1,2,6,Skip

Rise of the Dragons 1, Skip

The Book Thief 0, 3, 5, 6, 7

I hope this shows up correctly. If anyone has read any of these in the last 6 months I guess let me know.

88432 Hi all, this is my first team anything for reading. I am from Oklahoma and I am married with two kids. My husband works full time and I recently started a part time job opposite his schedule. One of my kids is 2 so I am mostly with her. I like to read a bit of everything. But my favorites are Stephen King, Anne Rice, James Patterson, and Rick Riordan. I am a read what I want whenever type of reader. But if the majority of people want to schedule it out I can work with that.
