Coralie - You seem to be the only one working on this tower! I need to get moving with the two years I have reserved.
Just finished
which was chock full of action, pretty much non-stop for a while. One of the best in the series definitely.
Tien wrote: "Aww, are you going on a holiday, DG? "Yes, I usually go on Holiday in August and then I have a yearly business trip on the last week of the month. Neither is 100% sure yet - we haven't decided where to go and I haven't received approval for the trip - but I can't make any commitments until I know. :)
Usually I can read on the business trip - I'm excited if it happens this year because I'll be going to Costa Rica - but not on my Holiday with the Hubby. ;)
No clue what I'll read for this shelf. I figure tons of my books qualify so I guess I'll read what I like and then see if fits the shelf!
Talia wrote: "For July's shelf, I pick Adventure. This is one of my favorite genres, so I hope everyone finds some good selections!"Awesome choice, Talia!
Bea - The Book of Lost Things is great.
Finished
and gave it 4 stars. Very good read about two damaged people who that find each other and deal with some really difficult stuff in their lives. When it started, I couldn't help but make some comparisons with Perfect Chemistry but the similarities faded away soon.I liked that even though they are happy at the end, they both had to make changes and very difficult decisions in their lives.
Definitely reading the next book!
This is not a quote about death but my favorite in the book:
"Growing up means making tough choices, and doing the right thing doesn't necessarily mean doing the thing that feels good."
Bea wrote: "Has anyone reserved F, G, or X in Title? I have read books I can submit for those. No Z's though."
Bea - You can see what has been reserved in this thread: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
Bea wrote: "And would a cat count for name in title? I read Whittington."I think Tien mentioned at the beginning that only people counted and not animals. :)
Thanks Tien & Julia. Both books are over 500+ pgs and I always have problems reading those. The rest are shorter so I hope I won't have the same problem!Once I'm done with book #2, I hope to start with #3, which also happens to fit the Mt. TBR AND Book-A-Fort. I love killing 3 birds with one stone!
Here are some options...neither are short though:Have you read
? It's not your typical zombie book but it's good (not very sweet though.)
- This is another take on the whole zombie business. Not funny though.
- This one was funny, sort of.
Bea wrote: "Can anyone recommend a short but sweet zombie book? This is not my genre."LOL, zombie books tend not to be too sweet!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Let me see if I can think of something.
I got stalled in my first book and haven't been able to finish it. I listened to 16 hours of the audiobook straight and now I can't seem to be able to finish the last 4 hours!! Grrr!
