Oh wow! I don't know what to read! Thanks for the great picks! These are the ones that are calling out to me:
But I may change my mind as the week's progress. I won't start right away but I'll try to pick up in between reading for another challenge I'm in.
I guess I've been doing it wrong all along. In all the round I've participated, I've been giving out double the books requested and everybody in my team has done the same - I sort of like it that way because I'm a mood reader and I read a lot of different genres. Or has the rule changed recently?
Tien wrote: "LOL @DG's picks, we are trying to stretch you, aren't we! I have to confess that I was looking at your shelf last night and got really confused about which to choose, ha ha ha... I kept going back..."LOL, I know! Totally hilarious.
I just came from an interview - I think it went great - and now I'm having a pint!
My picks for TienLike my previous picks, I haven't read any and chose them as follows: the first one is your theme book (in honor of Australia day...beach in the cover!), the second cover just looked interesting, the third is a book that came highly recommended and the last I had to pick because it was the only naked chest cover I saw in all your shelves, LOL!
My picks for AmyI haven't read any books on your list either so I went mostly with familiar authors or books that have been recommended to me. I picked the first book as the theme book (where I live, we use tons of scarves during the Holidays, LOL!)
My picks for BeaI confess I haven't read any of the books on your shelf so I just picked whatever looked interesting. The first selection is the theme book (turkey in cover!) but I also picked a few from authors I know, the oldest in the list and the one with the highest rating.
Thanks, Bea! Great choices! My internet is not working at the moment so I'll post my picks later today.
Ladies - Please use my to read shelf to pick for me. :)Also, if you can, can you please pick at least one book that has been on my TBR since 2012 or older? (I'm trying to work on old books from the TBR instead of always picking the shiny new ones!) This is nice to have, NOT a requirement. Obviously if you know of a good book that I MUST read right away that I just added yesterday, please feel free to pick it. ;)
I created a thread for group 2: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...Ladies - can you let post in the thread from which shelf we should pick your books?
POTS Cycle #5 Theme: Holidays: Since our reading will cover lots of holidays, I thought the theme could be a representative item on the book cover. So some holidays that I can think of (not inclusive I am sure) are: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Kwanza, and Hanukkah. The items could be a gift, turkey, candles, feast, party items, Christmas tree, etc. It would be up to the picker to determine the holiday and item. The holiday must occur within the reading time of 11/15/13 - 1/31/14. (~Bea) RULES
Group 2
Amy - 4 books
Bea - 4 books
Tien - 2 books
D.G. - to read shelf (2 books)
Lyn - Can you add me to the list with 2 books? I figured I would make it to group 2 which has 3 people.

I don't know if I should sign up for this...I know we have a couple of months to read but I'd like to finish the books I have reserved for Book a Fort!
I'm reading a book that it's full of talking mice (unlike Of Mice and Men), but of course, it's not on the shelf!
I
and totally loved it! Thanks for the rec, Candiss! It was such a great audio and I loved the combination of humor and UF.
I finished a third book
and totally loved it! Great combination of humor and urban fantasy. The audio is hilarious!
