80227 (By the time I got to "signing" I was selling 9,500 a month.)

Were these all ebooks on Amazon?
80227 Great advice, thanks so much!
80227 The only advantage I can see to going with Harper Voyager is that they may bring in more 'clout' because of the algorithms Amazon are using. There has been a lot of talk that they were changed earlier this year to lean heavily towards the big publishing houses. An indie can climb through the ranks quickly using the KDP free days, but then sales drop off real quick as you disappear down the lists in the following days, much faster than before.

The only thing an indie could possibly want from a publisher is, as Michael says, the paperback sales and also any promotion and leverage they can bring to bear.

80227 Hi Michael,
Totally enjoying your books at the moment, thanks for those:)

I have an observation rather than a question at this point. You wrote The Viscount and the Witch as a marketing move to draw people in to your other books.. or was there some other reason to write such a short story?
Whatever your reply I shall be writing a short story to offer for free, drawing readers into my other books, thanks for that!
