An Ode to LampreysA long time ago
The king Henry the First
Had a great taste
For lampreys.
One day,
When in France,
He dined
On his favourite dish.
But this time,
He took a giant quantity
Of the creatures,
And after eating
He became ill
And died.
And so,
The moral of this poem
Is that with lampreys,
As with everything else,
Moderation is everything.

Thanks. Shamefully I did not recognise it. Even more shamefully, I then found it in my Poe poems book, which I had read dozens of times!
