The MetaphorWhen the words will not pour
Out
Use another metaphor.
Then your poem
Will surely soar.
You won't worry
Anymore.
The metaphor
Will keep the wolf
From your door.
Space: the Final FrontierI fired a rocket into space
It was time to join the race
It entered orbit like a dream
I was the cat who got the cream.
Then it was time
To bring it down
This made me scowl
This made me frown
How to bring it safely down?
I could not find a way
This puzzled me
Day after day.
But then a brainwave
Came to me
Just let it drop!
I smiled with glee
As it falls
From outer space
It's bound to land
Some place
I guess.
