Not anytime soon, Ce Ce. Wishful thinking. I used to live in the San Francisco Bay Area. One of my favorite area to live. I lived in the Half Moon Bay Area and drove past eucalyptus trees daily. I don't miss the fog, though.
Congratulations, Jocelyne, on posting your first picture! I have a Mac, but let's see whether I can guess how Windows might work. 1. Try putting the mouse over the image, push Ctrl while holding down the mouse button.
2. A menu should pop up that should either say something like "Open Image in New Window" or "Copy Image Address".
If the image is in a new window (ends in .jpg, .png, .gif), copy the address.
If the menu said "Copy Image Address" then you do that and only have to paste in.

Tapas and museums! My favorite things. Get the mugs ready, Kalliope.

Jocelyn, go into the upper right of your comment box.
1. Go into (some html is ok)
2. Copy the link sample for images, paste into the comment box.
3. Copy your image web address with jpg, png or gif at the end. Highlight the sample web address from "http:..." Stop at "/ from the link in 2. Paste your image web address into it.
Hi, folks! *waves* Every time I pop in here, I have to speed read through the posts! And tons of links! It's good to see it so active. You are on the move, Kalliope! Busy woman.
Welcome, Elaine! Thank you for the wonderful introduction. The group lounge is a great place to chit-chat.http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
Also, the Information section has valuable information with links posted by Marcelita and others, Proust events, etc. Don't worry about starting late. There are others starting late, some who have finished early, and some who have either sidetracked or were too busy to keep up. Go at your pace and there is information waiting for you at whichever point you're at.
Congratulations, Ce Ce! Here's a gif of flower/bees in honor of Sodom and Gomorrah and Ce Ce's first image posting!
1. Upload your images to a site, such as Photobucket or Flickr2. Go into your image, expand it to its own window such that the ending of the address is .jpg, .png, or .gif.
3. Copy the image address and paste into (bracket)img src=(image address)/"(bracket). You can delete the width=" " height=" ", just retain the "/ and the ending bracket.
4a. If that does not work, GR has a weird glitch in which typing in the coding does not work.
4b. Go into "(some html is ok)" at the upper right of the "comment" box and copy after "image:" the, (bracket) img src="http://www.goodreads.com/image.../ " (ending bracket), and replace the http address between the " " with your image address.
Mike wrote: "Life knocked me off the course of the reading schedule in mid-March, and so I'm a full two volumes behind the group. In any case, here's a link to my review of [bookcover:A l'ombre des jeunes fille..."Don't worry, Mike. I read all seven volumes but am now working on the review you just finished. I have not been in a reviewing mood this year but am starting to feel enthusiasm about analyzing what I've read again. I'm reviewing the second volume for the second review.
I am treating myself to Naxos' Wagner's Ring Cycle for the iPad. Great stuff! Since I can't spend hundreds of dollars for the show, this will have to do.http://www.naxos.com/feature/Wagners_...
I took Kris' advice and decided to focus on a part of my rambling review of Swann's Way. The review of Swann's Way is finally done! I'm moving the other details to the review of the other volumes and hoping to edit them soon.http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Reminds me of the time my little sister ran home from school waving a panty liner that was a sample enclosed in a women's magazine yelling, "Look look, I found a sticker that you can cut up!"
I'm enjoying reading Ulysses, my first Joyce, and fell in love with his writing. I changed my reading plan to be a Joyce and Proust completist. This was before I heard about them meeting. Funny coincidence.
Jocelyne wrote: "...I can't resist posting this exquisite quote related to the brief and eminently forgettable encounter between James Joyces and Marcel Proust...,"Here are some interesting tidbits about their meeting:
