75015 I know, right? Poor Broncos. I'm sure they're not bad, but I just can't get up any enthusiasm for them if Manning isn't playing. :D

On a side note, how do you like the other Pennsylvania team? I sort of ignored their existence until I watched Silver Linings Playbook, in which every single person is a crazy Eagles fan. The movie's such a lot of fun! I'll watch out for the Eagles next year! :)

75015 It's okay with me too. :)

I'm not a Steelers fan either. Actually this is my first season following football at all. So far, my favorites are the Packers! I was really rooting for them. I was rooting for Patriots and Peyton Manning, separate from his team (I don't care either way about Broncos), as well. All of them lost pretty badly. Hmm. Note to self, cheer for the Ravens next time. Maybe then one of my favorites will actually make it. :D

I know! But I don't like the Ravens more than I don't like the 49ers. :D

And I didn't pick anyone for today, because I went out. :(

I suppose we choose our team and read the books now. Or make something that we've already read fit...

@Christie, I'm game if you are! We could pick our favorite Pro Bowl-er and read his team tasks too.

75015 Absolutely! I was actually trying to find a way to make it work for Pro Bowl as well, but it got too confusing. :D

75015 So... Should we pick our choice for the Super Bowl as well? It'll be the third time I'll have to do 49ers tasks, lol.

75015 Yeah! Patriots for the Super Bowl!! (Hopefully) I don't know why I've picked them as my favorites, lol. I think I just like their logo.

Barb, are you a Broncos/Packers fan? Husband and I have grown into Peyton Manning fans and Saturday was a huge disappointment. We like Aaron Rodgers too and his team lost horribly as well.

75015 I'll do this too. My favorite (sub)genre is fantasy>dystopia, but since it's already covered, I'll go with Humor.

75015 Barb wrote: "We can use as many "extra points" for each game as we want?"

I know the answer to this. Yes. I hadn't known that and was choosing one extra task only, but in the middle of the game I figured out that we can do all 8 tasks in a week, but it was such a job fitting my books into the extra tasks, so I gave up midway, lol. I'll probably try retrofitting again closer to Super Bowl.
75015 I forgot completely that I had signed up for it, and I forgot to collect any of the words. I'm withdrawing from this challenge for now. I'll probably sign up again in January. :)
Dec 20, 2012 10:23AM

75015 I will mark this as incomplete as well, as I'm not going to read a single book with 3 people in it, let alone 3 before the deadline. I got three of everything else though. Yaay!
Dec 20, 2012 10:17AM

75015 Congrats Barb and everyone who's finished!

I'm marking this as (in)complete, because I will never get around to reading anything with Distance or Empire in it. I'll probably sign back up some time after the holidays with a different list!

75015 Same for me. I thought it may be my computer's fault, but I tried with my husband's and it doesn't work there as well. Barbara, I can't access 2012 nominees (from the winners link)...

75015 Can anyone get 2010 to work? I've been trying everyday with no luck...
