Words We Cannot Say by Sita Romero
Interesting enough, but not mind-blowing. Too many pregnancy-related triggers!

Lost Dogs by indie Canadian author Lucie Pagé
If you enjoy literary fiction, do give this whimsical debut work a try.

The Other Year by Rea Frey
Expected to like this more but the double love triangles threw me off. Outlier review.

Luminous: The Story of a Radium Girl by Samantha Wilcoxson
An indie novel focussing on the life story of Catherine Donohue, the woman who filed a suit against Radium Dial for not letting its employees know about the harm caused by radium. The book goes a bit overboard on faith-related elements, bit it contains a heartbreaking story that is a must-read.

Change of Plans by Dylan Newton
I liked the disability rep and the plot, but disliked the OTT elements. If you can ignore the latter, it is worth a read for the former.

The Wings of Poppy Pendleton by Melanie Dobson
A complicated storyline in this historical suspense, and a slow pace. But I still liked it.

The Butterfly Collector by Tea Cooper
A decent historical story, but I expected far more. The title generates very different expectations.

Through the Snow Globe by Annie Rains
A Groundhog Day plus Christmas combo. Decent story but doesn't offer anything new.

The Lonely Book by Meg Grehan
An OwnVoices middle-grade novel-in-verse. Loved the theme, liked the story, disliked the poetic bits.

Positively, Penelope by Pepper D. Basham
The second book in the Skymar series, and providing the same experience as book one.

The Gingerbread House in Mistletoe Gardens by Jaimie Admans
A sweet holiday read.

Scareground by Angela Kecojevic
Rarely does a middle-grade book leave me with mixed feelings. This had potential, but probably needed a more experienced author.

Authentically Izzy by Pepper D. Basham
Quite a fun epistolary novel, though the emails did become tiresome after a while.

Before You Found Me by Brooke Beyfuss
Outlier opinion, because I found this a mixed bag. Most readers found it far more suspenseful and impactful.

A Lady's Guide to Scandal by Sophie Irwin
A mixed bag historical romance. I had enjoyed the first book of this series much better.

Red Hail by Jamie Killen
The first half of this indie book creeped me out. The second half was quite good as well. A scifi mystery-thriller about a mysterious plague.

My Name Isn't Joe by James Thomas
Rated 4.69 stars on GR, and I still end up as an outlier. Go figure! :(

Finally read Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch! What an amazing book!

Lump by Nathan Whitlock
Not at all as expected. This could have really been worth a read had it stuck to the contents of the blurb.

Norah's Ark by Victoria Williamson
Enjoyed this middle-grade novel though it is a bit more intense than typical MG works. A lovely tale of friendship and understanding.
