Oh goodie! I want to read a long book some time in March, so I'll probably be blogging about it. If I even blog. XD
Congratulations! Now to figure out how to actually do this next month? I forgot about it because no one replied. XD
I challenge you all to read one book in February... and then blog about the experience. My book will probably be long. And old. ^_^
Are you READY? What have you been doing to GET ready?NaNo is coming up soon... in 26... 25... 24... 3... 2... 1 days!
How excited are you?
(I personally have been planning off and on since September, and I'm no where near ready. ^_^ And super excited.)
Hmmm.... well, I always have a romance or two going on in my novels-- I find that one or two of my characters drift into a romance whether or not I want them to, and let's be honest-- romance is interesting. But it's never more than a PG-13 rating, because I'm simply not comfortable with going up any higher.I tend to create it in my own world-- either one based on RL or a completely different one. Sometimes there is magic, sometimes I have a mad villain with nice inventing powers.
Then I also like kooky, crazy characters, or stereotypical characters carried to a larger point (hysterical princess, by which I mean bursting into tears at the slightest provocation-- I got bored of that, though, and just made her really decisive sometimes). And generally there's smart comebacks and such.
And sometimes there's a quest. Like revenge on some idiot fiancé, or fighting to find a resurrection spell, or getting back home.
I hate it when I'm asked for a genre because I have no idea what it IS, usually, but maybe that will suffice for a cursory explanation as to what I generally write.
So... what are the classics you love, and how are you going to incorporate them into your novel, if at all?(and if you're not... tsk. XD)
