I finished Among Others (my 2nd book of 2013) tonight. What a great book. I was not expecting to like it as much as I did!

I love this site, so much!! So, as I'm writing an update for Among Others, I wonder, out loud, if there is a list of the novels mentioned in the story, which motivates me to check on Google.

I now have all 4 of the Laundry Files, plus one or two other of his works.

Hubby had #s 2 & 4 on his Kindle already, so he bought #s 1 & 3 and then "gifted" them all to me.

LOL

I tend to only reread earlier books in series as a refresher for continuing said series.

My husband has suggested Laundry Files, a few times, actually. I need to go and look up book one. I may have to take super early retirement (I'm not yet 40) just to have enough time to read everything I want to read...LOL

Man my TBR can not afford this place! :) I just added The House At Riverton to my wish list on Amazon. at $11 ts a bit spendy right now.

As to series, I also use FictFact, plus Wikipedia to find out whats next and Calibre to keep them in order.

I might read The Help or reread The Color Purple - I'll have to find my copy, I haven't seen it lately.

Horror does concern me..I really really don't like to be scared, but reading The Island of Dr. Moreau taught me that not all horrors are particularly scary; they might just be disturbing.
