I don't think there was ever a time I wasn't reading something required for school. There are so many little short stories I could as well.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: If you were in a horror movie, how do you think you’d fare?"It depends on the situation. I'd probably die first if it was something I had no control over.
If I had control, I'd live because I would simply leave.
LCPL wrote: "Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. What do you currently have checked out from the library?"I checked out The Posthumous Memoirs of Bras Cubas again because I didn't get to read it the first time I had it.
LCPL wrote: "Happy Friday! Hope you had a great week! What does everyone plan on reading this weekend?"I may try to start reading The Book of Doors by Gareth Brown
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's your favorite spooky (or non-spooky) fall activity?"I don't really do anything for Halloween.
LCPL wrote: "Happy Wednesday! What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan on reading next?"Finished:
Circe by Madeline Miller
Giant Days vol 7 by John Allison
Coexistence by Billy-Ray Belcourt
Currently:
I haven't picked up anything else.
Next:
The Book of Doors by Gareth Brown (buddy read)
LCPL wrote: "This or That: What's your favorite to wear during the fall – sweaters or flannels?"I'll wear a sweater all year long. I enjoy a good flannel but I only own one.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Which fall drink are you craving most: pumpkin spice, apple cider, or hot chocolate?"Hot chocolate even though I don't even drink it that often.
In a perfect world: Circe by Madeline Miller and Coexistence by Billy-Ray Belcourt. Reality: I'd say nothing will get finished.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's the coziest book you've ever read?"84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff.
Big Lies in a Small Town is a mystery, but I also that one was great to cozy up with.
LCPL wrote: "Happy Wednesday! What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan on reading next?"No update. I have read a bit more in Coexistence by Billy-Ray Belcourt but that's about it.
LCPL wrote: "Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Fall 2024 To-Read List"I've been in such a slump these past few months, so I'm not sure what I'll get to.
1. God of the Woods by Liz Moore
2. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
3. The Blind Owl by Sadegh Hedayat
4. The Posthumous Memoirs of Bras Cubas by Machado de Assis
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Name something that you would see in the fall that begins with the first letter of your first name."Oh gosh, maybe vibrant colored leaves or vanilla-scented candles. A bit of a stretch but I'm going with it unless I can think of something else.
LCPL wrote: "Happy Friday! Hope you had a great week! What does everyone plan on reading this weekend?"I hope I can read more in Coexistence by Billy-Ray Belcourt and Circe by Madeline Miller.
