Just realized I finished and forgot to post.

I really felt like it picked up from about half way to about 80% of the way through, but it kinda lost me again at the two men in a boat scenario, and then the ending felt kinda anti-climactic. I think I'm so spoiled by her later books, I'd kinda rather read another of those then continue on with this series.

I can't decide if he was on drugs or not, I'm trying to figure out if that would be more or less alarming in that context.

So I meant to start a epic fantasy book, then somehow accidentally binge read like 3000 pages of Jane Austen retellings (2 separate series) this weekend. Oops?

Which also reminds me that I'm horrifically behind on posting books read. More certain, oops.

Diving into this one this weekend. Is everyone binging this, or going for small portions per day?

I just started this one last night, on chapter 5 now. I think I've been spoiled by reading the Left Hand of Darkness first, because I wasn't expecting the less complex plot and writing style in this one. I feel like I'm a good way though this book but not really much has happened

Also, I'm a sucker for magic school so I really wish there were about three hundred more pages on all the obscure lessons they learn and their daily schedule. lol
