Okay.... now, did you get the book from amazon or the one from smashwords?

If you got the one from amazon, then you'll open Kindle for PC and click on "Archived Items" and then type in the name of the book and it will open. After that it'll be in the "home" area of Kindle for PC....

Now, if you're talking about the smashwords book, if you double click on the book itself, Kindle for PC should open with the book.
