29443 I like a certain variety too, Goge. I don't care for every heroine to be exactly like the rest. I do like the strong "kickbutt ask questions later" heroines, along with the shy librarian types and many in between. I don't like doormats or TSTL heroines though. And whiney heroines make me cringe!

29443 Julie Garwood and Pamela Clare both write heroines that I love. There are more authors I love too but those two come to mind quickly.

29443 My favorite characteristics in a heroine include integrity, loyalty, fidelity, compassion, courageous. She is strong. But not necessarily in the physical sense. She is steadfast in her beliefs and morals. Only the real love of her life will challenge those beliefs and morals. But I will love the hero even more if he honors her beliefs and morals and supports her in her causes. Kind and loving to those around her, especially to children and seniors and the man of her dreams. She can have a few faults and can be real but I'm not fond of criminal heroines or alcoholic/drug addicted type heroines. A heroine who isn't TSTL and can admit when she is wrong. A heroine who overcomes and triumphs over tragedy. Someone who fixes problems rather than making them. Who can handle the drama but not live the drama.

29443 I was at the pool the other day and there was a dad and his son. The son was probably about 3 I guess. It was sweet watching him catch the boy when he jumped in the water and anyway it was awesome to see. I love things like that in books.
29443 People can be highly intelligent and lack common sense. I do hate those TSTL heroines and wish they had common sense!

29443 Thanks, I.J.!
29443 Yeah, I love the enemies to lovers theme but not if it goes on too long. I like to see them get together or reconcile their differences before the half way mark.
