((*runs over and hugs Caitleen* You said you don't have anything to comfort you!))"I'm just... Worried, a little bit."
((Everybody has something that makes them feel better! And you say you don't! And I'm really sorry for you! It's terrible that you didn't have something to make you feel better!Aaaaaaand... I just slapped myself in the face. OH YEAH, NEIGHBORS?! YOU THINK THAT'S FUNNY?! HOW BOUT I SLAP YOU?!))
((...You poor, poor child.))Dum had a bit of that self control, but not as much. Give him a couple more hours, and he was going to start bawling.
((We freaking have mosquitoes. In October.))
......Okay.... Do you know a place where you could rent one or something? My copies of Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away are on VHS.
((Caitleen: You didn't seem to understand why the bear makes me feel safe. I'm comparing him to a security blanket. Security blankets make one feel safer or better, as does my bear. So I'm asking if you have a security blanket or bear or book or stuffed animal or painting or sound that makes you feel safe. A security something-or-other.))"My brother speaking like a toddler is not amusing!" Dum was genuinely hurt.
"I know. Strange, isn't it?"((Mine don't have very creative names... Well, some of my stuffed animals do, but some don't.
The particular panda I sleep with's name is Mr. Panda. Please don't laugh.))
((Why what? Why does my panda make me feel safe? I don't know, it just does! There's probably a psychological thing behind it, but I just don't know!))
((Because my baby blanket it mounted on the wall and I hid the other one to keep my cat from stealing it. It's a comfort thing. I like my panda. He makes me feel safe. Please?))
"Normally it's me who attracts trouble, not Dee," said Dum thoughtfully.
((It's not your fault I'm totally insane.Yes. Several, but I only sleep with one. And he fell off my bed when I was asleep so I couldn't find him. Luckily, I found him this morning. You know Lily's panda in the other roleplay? That's my bear.
He just is. And he's an ass about it, too.))
((Bye, Rowan!See? Now you think I'm totally insane, don't you?))
"Sure!" Dum took Tainth's hand.
"Yeah! When train?" asked Dee.
((You guys probably won't find it scary. It had a bunch of people I didn't know or didn't know well in it. And Tom Hand and Katie Kaiser. Tom Hand is not a nice person and I hate him. He's the biggest jerk ever and it's worse because he's smarter than me and it's not fair.
In my dream, Tom and all these people were there, and we were in my science class, plus a whole bunch of people. And there was a scorpion. Tom picked up said scorpion and it jumped on me, and stung me. I woke up crying and scared and I couldn't find my teddy bear and I was exhausted. It's the first nightmare I've had in a while and it really scared me.))
"She doesn't like you," said Hatter flatly.
"Okay!" said Dum.
Dee nodded. "We go now."
"Yes?" asked Dee and Dum together.((No. I'm not okay. I'm tired and my head hurts and I've had a shitty week and I didn't get enough sleep last night, and I hurt my jaw, and I'm hungry and being eaten by bugs and attacked by cats, my laptop battery is dying, you're not helping anything and did I mention I had a nightmare last night?!))
"I'm not going to beat you up so you can win the love of my sister, kid."((Grrrrrrr....
I CAN'T! I HAVE NO BLOODY IMAGINATION AT THIS TIME OF DAY! IT'S HOT, I'M TIRED AND I DON'T WANT TO BE BACK HERE! IT'S NOT THAT FREAKING HARD TO UNDERSTAND, OKAY?! I'M GETTING EATEN BY BUGS, MY CAT KEEPS ATTACKING ME, MY MOTHER TOOK AWAY MY LAPTOP CORD, I'M BEING EXPOSED TO MY BROTHER'S INCREDIBLY HAIRY/PALE LEGS AND MY HEAD HURTS!))
"So fix it, stupid cat."((......
You're not getting it.
I can't make my own fun. There is no way to "have fun" back here. I'm tired of my stupid little brothers, there's not one child near my age on this stupid street, and my camera doesn't work. I'm tired, I want to take a nap but my mother won't let me, and it's a whole lotta nothing back here.))
((THERE IS NO FUN BACK HERE!Allow me to explain: When I was little, and still to this day, when we would bother my parents, they exile us to the backyard for ridiculous amounts of time, IE several hours. We're not allowed to dig, I don't fit on the swings, and most of the time we can't bring books outside. This is the first time they've let me bring my laptop out.
Also, I can't ignore the freaking bugs. You become a bug buffet and then try and tell me to ignore them.))
"I'd rather not have my brother speaking like a toddler for the rest of his life, please."
