it is sad, jim, but indicative of the condition of contemporary music - everything (mostly everything) is sterile, derivative, safe and bland. there's nary a spark of originality and purpose. it's music that makes a sound, little else....................

it was mrs t's birthday on friday, and every attempt to buy a carry-out meal has been blown out of the water - even yesterday's effort to buy in a chinese meal hit the skids because they were so busy they had to cease deliveries - oh, we're ******* starving!

outside is still another world, but the light dusting of snow reflects a sheen of hopefulness, quiet and wonder. the animals make their imprints but don't break the spell. elements of disruption are queued up and waiting, i salute their patience.
