Have not read the book..but a PERFECT description of critics and their need to show how "elite" they are!!

The edition I read began with a fawning review comparing Blood Meridian to Moby Dick and As I Lay Dying. Right from the start I knew this was going to be one of those books praised by the literary community because that's what they are expected to do.

Ken I read all the Odd Thomas books - except the first...Odd of me I know...I love the character- yet there seems to be a bit of repetition .. Odd travels someplace..gets into a ghostly situation...ect ect..I reallywish he would return to his hometown Pico Mundo- and have the same characters that I so enjoyed in Book Two (Ozzie the 400lb writer ect) return.
