25350 I have to say the James Mason version of Lolita. Such a brilliant film in every way. Mason truly captured th tormented Humbert Humbert. And Peter Sellers was very odd yet addicting The Annotated Lolita Revised and Updated by Vladimir Nabokov

I enjoy Maigret as well..though I have read some disturbing things about Simenon and his alleged antisemitism which has made them less desirable to me

25350 I must recommend The Uninvited by Dorothy Macardle ..a brilliant 1944 Gothic ghost film starring Ray Milland..it is still one of the scariest films I have ever seen..
