Welcome to the group Shannon! I hope that you enjoy it and finding time for reading with a 21 month old is quite a challenge.

Robert, when you add your comment there is a link above the box that says add book/author, just click on that add it will link you to add covers. Just in case you wanted to know!!!

I love to read, read a lot, but also have a local boo..."We usually have a book that is a monthly/bimonthly group read, sometimes we have a buddy read(like War and Peace) which is separate from the group read. We are VERY flexible, if we want to take longer on a book we can or if we want to change in mid-stream, we can. No worries about that! As far as choosing a book, we try to post what we want and either decide that way, or we can start taking polls to decide. I hope that helps.
I forgot about
. How I love reading that to my kids during the Holidays, plus watching the show is great fun. Maybe I just have a soft spot for Boris Karloff!:)
In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday on March 2nd, I thought it would be fun to talk about your favorite books by him. My favorites are some classics as well. I love Green Eggs and Ham, and Oh, The Places That You'll Go. I'm sure that I will remember more during the course of the discussion! So happy birthday Sam-I-Am!
It is nice to meet you Suzanne! I'm the same way. I never read them(much), but they have hooked me big time! Thanks for joining the group, hope that you enjoy it. Good luck at university!
I know that we have a few books on our plate right now, but I also want to keep the nominations open for future group reads. Just want to keep people thinking about books for the future. We can choose them at any time!
Tugce Nida wrote: "I have added this one to my to-read and I can't stop it from growing larger everyday ..."I would have to agree, mine is almost out of control. It has grown exponentially since I got on this site.

Wide Sargasso Sea. In that book, Jean Rhys tells the story of the woman in the att..."I have never heard of that book. It sounds very interesting! Nell and Tugce Nida, did you enjoy the book? I read it years ago, so looking forward to the reread.
I started this last night and what a fun read. The imagery, the new language(Fu Inle, Frithrah etc)is just great fun. Does anyone know if that is Gallic? Or just something right off the top of the author's head? Carolyn, I agree with your assessment of Hazel, I like him already. I also enjoyed the rabbit "creation" story, about Frith and how he dealt with El-ahrairah. I laughed thinking about the stories of Brer rabbit. I can't wait to read more!
Um, I'm not sure what to say! As a mom, wife, friend... I understand completely! How about a 3rd option-a Kindle? HAHA! There is no rush, we can hold this for awhile.
I finished this book today! I really enjoyed it! Must say that the final 40 pages was too much. Can't handle having a philosophy reading from Tolstoy. Thanks Carolyn for suggesting this, I would never have read it without some pushing.
I'm not sure about what happens when you don't like the book. I wouldn't think that anyone would hold that against you. It would be honest and that is what a review should be, how you feel about the book. It would be hard though, I can understand where you are coming from!
