Hello! Happy Mid-July (2018) to you! I’ve just found this group, obviously due to joining a little late I’ll behind but I’m excited to of found you!
So far for 2018 books that I’ve read that I feel have helped me grow as a Christian are as follows;
1.) The Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne
It was a heavy read for me and I took a lot of notes! Glad to of read it.
2.) Praise Habit: Finding God in Sunsets and Sushi by David Crowder.
This book was a great one and quite a bit lighter for me, the way he writes worked well with how my brain works!
The following are books I’m currently reading.
3.)* The Turquoise Table by Kristin Schell
I heard her speak on the Jen Hatmaker podcast and was enthralled by her idea of how to slow down and connect with your neighborhood and engage your community. I’m hoping to implement if not this idea, one similar to it in mine.
4.)* Love Does by Bob Goff
Oh my I’ve been taking notes chapter by chapter of this book. Bob Goff is my people, I’d love to meet him! I found him by way of the Jen Hatmaker podcast as well and just love his words.
** next book I’ll be buying is the follow up book by Bob Goff called, “Everybody, Always”
Thanks for letting my join, in just now learning the app and will be exploring the other topic threads and comments.
Happy Reading and Happy Summer.
