Lol Ann. Unfortunately, it is actually pretty easy to screw up birth control. Some of them are severely less effective if you take them even a half hour later than you did yesterday type thing, and even when you get it spot on, it can fail. I know 6 birth control babies. 4 of the mamas are OCD RELIGIOUS about taking it, so I have no doubt that it was a product failure rather than a human error. There's even a picture going around of a new born holding his mamas IUD coil minutes after his birth, so not even that's safe. I like these kinds of stories, but always find it funny that the guys think that they 'the guys jumping to conclusions and throwing nasty accusations' always think they are such good catches.

Oops, sorry. That's just the description of the Mogul book. I just remembered, Mogul is book two. The Doctors Secret Wife is the first one. It's not so much that he's hung up on his first wife, but she does play a part in who he is now and how the new relationship goes.
I'm sure I've got a few more in my shelves. I'll have a look and add them if I find them.

The Moguls Reluctant Bride by Ana E Ross. Marriage of convenience due to adopting kids. He's fine to her, but still stuck on wife one.
I remember a series that had that for one of the brothers, but I only read book two. Think the dad had died and as he was a MEGA asshole, the brothers were trying to sort the family out. Bk1 might have had a secret sister show up who ended up with the dad's 'muscle man goon'. Bk2 was one of them meeting a chick while he was working the family hotel in Hawaii. There were at least a couple other brothers, not sure which one or if both were to work with the PR lady (h). One was a playboy and the other was just getting out of jail now that dad was dead and they could find the info to prove the dad had set him up to take the fall for him. Sound like it?

Heller by JD Dixon. 6 books out, the final book is in limbo and has been for a few years. It's still a fun series, as long as you know there's no guarantees of it being finished.
It's a long shot, but cause you're looking for funny... Janet Evanovich has the Stephanie Plum series. It's up to like 23 books now I think, and there's all sorts of mayhem. Occasionally, some of it is spying on partners/possible partners from memory.

Serials! Hate them. And cliffhangers that give you no warning... grrrr. All those kind of things should be clearly stated in the blurb before you need to buy it.

I haven't read Crossfire... But I am loudly against authors splitting a book and calling it a series. Drives me bonkers. Most of the time there's no reason to do it unless they are milking money.

Also, Dahlia West has the Burnout series with the H's from a SEAL team. Shooter, has scars
Tex, is fine from memory, but he's into bdsm
Hawk, is fine from memory, but has commitment issues
Easy, is an amputee
Doc, is fine from memory, but has childhood issues, maybe some PTSD.

I just had a quick look thru and didn't see them suggested, sorry if I missed them. The Lost and Found series by JM Madden.
It's based on Disabled Vets creating an investigation & security company staffed completely with disabled Vets who have been 'tossed out' now that they are 'no use' to the military. Obviously they have an insane amount of skills that don't translate neatly into civilian life, especially with the variety of restrictions and considerations that some of their injuries and mental status creates. Instead of these men being left to flounder, one of them finds a way to build a company around them with his two besticals. Their jobs are sorted by what their abilities and capabilities now are, whether that's PTSD, scars, amputations, paralysis, anxieties, mobility restrictions, etc.
There is a free bundle on iBook oz right now, and I just flew thru them and loved them... tho I have to admit, bk5 about the main guy was pretty scattered and a big let down to me. It may have only 'looked so bad' because of how much I'd enjoyed the previous books in the days before and was so looking forward to the story, but it did take a bit of the shine off. I'll probably keep reading the series tho.
The bundle is the prequel (the besticals meet) and the first 5bks, but there are a couple of novellas in that mix which aren't included, so there are spoilers for those.
Trust by Jana Aston (bk4)Might be one of my fav anx h reads
Dark Wild Night by Christina Lauren (bk3... I couldn't finish this one, the h with anx annoyed the bejeebies out of me for some reason)
Hiya, didn't I see another thread for this one in the last couple of weeks?Pretty sure you are looking for the Scanguard series. First one is Samson's Lovely Mortal and one of the support characters is a gay dom who is topped by his sub and is a traitor. Pretty sure the characters name is Thomas, so if you look thru the series, it should be easy to find his book.
