Should have looked it up first. Here is a link to one of the books in the Shannara series. No idea which book it would be in, or if it was a different series, but I would have been reading them around the same time (15ish years ago). I don’t remember elves or vamps specifically attached to the boy/girl/dome/medication plot I was thinking of, but there WAS magic. Dystopian. Things and people had changed, but I think most were still average Joes. The ‘modern’ world was just ruins to scavenge in and pretty old by that point. Spoilers, the girl (and maybe the boy who was an outsider) was thrown off the roof in public execution for being found guilty of sharing the medication with outsiders... but magic happened while she was falling to intervene.

Isn’t there a bit in the Shanananananaan??? Series like that? Terry Brooks maybe? Can’t remember why the guy was on the outside, but she was helping him by giving him limited availability drugs. Don’t think it was vamps, just penicillins or the like. He was living with a bunch of kids?

Then when I was reading, it seemed closer to Normal. h is new transfer to school after assault and social explosion in home town. She’s really nervy and guy notices and makes an effort to smooth her into the group. They do something like a spring break and ex shows up... think there was the new guy reading the situation wrong and thinking she was flirting, followed by realising that not her and coming back to save her. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

At first I thought Never Me, but think they are a bit older. All travelling from elsewhere to holiday where they meet. h has horrible history with men and only ever hits them once, and prefers men in relationships. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

I read one recently that had that as a mentioned part of the story. Don’t think it was a huge part, just noted as they were close to tracking him down. It was in English, based in America I think. If that sounds familiar, I’ll look for it. The guy was ‘seeing colours’ coming from people and deciding on if to kill them or not from that. Could somehow detect cancer and was rejecting parts because of that. The main characters included a defective, a reported and I think another one was a woman.

Can’t remember how much of the story is focused on this amnesia thing, but pretty sure it is a part of it and not just a moment.
Hmmm... that covers like 95% of all bdsm series out there. You might want to add some details about the characters, plots, locations, time frame... anything... if you are looking for a specific series and not just general recs. Then again, you’ll probably want to add most specific details even if you are looking for general recs.

Cool, thx. Doesn’t always have to have a big part of the story, but doesn’t matter either way. I remember one house (tv) that was AI, and got suicidal every time the resident discussed moving out as his family grew. But smaller things are good too. The idea has just caught my attention for some reason.
