Personally, I'm a fan of the elementals/sisters in the story. I think it's the sheer power to terrify everything in this little, tiny, innocent package.
Meels is a big fan of the series. She was the one who got me to read it and I loved it. I still need to read the latest one that came out this year.
I picked up Daisy Darker today and I know that it's a cliched trope but that little publishers note in the beginning about how they got the manuscript hooked me. I want to know more, I want to know what was in the manuscript, I want to know how the publisher got it.
That would be some long term evolution and I just don't see it. Where humans excel are at finding ways to create things to help adapt to our climate. I look at the state of warm gear when I was kid versus now and things have advanced a lot. Lighter, more efficient, etc. There are mittens and what not that have heaters you can charge with a USB now a days
Cardcaptor Sakura (I was going to go with Pretty Cure but decided to go with the more known series here)
I want to read some In Death right now but my schedule is to busy. I think that will be one of those one vacation reads that I do.
Why do I live in an environment that is actively trying to kill me at this time of the year? Spend 20 minutes getting dressed, a hour walking outside, only to spend 9 hours at work. I'm very much ready to hibernate for my vacation.
#2 is incredibly true. I work in a warehouse so there is always a certain level of loud but there are just some days where it's simply to much and I go full grumpy bear mode. It's usually when I'm tired and there are five different backup alarms going, cranes, grinders, etc, etc, etc. Same with overly loud people. If I can hear you across the building all the time you are to damned loud.#5 I hate eye contact with people. It just feels like something deeply personal for me and I don't have that kind of connection with some 99.5% of the planet.
#16 uggggggghhhhhhhhh I have resting murder face and I've heard this kind of statement so many times. That or it's just straight up avoidance because the big scary male has to be a rapist/murderer/serial killer/kidnapper/organ thief/dark overlord, blah, blah, fucking blah.
I'm sure this is relatable but I hate when this happens. I did my laundry yesterday and I had my toque in there. Now I didn't want to lose my toque with it being winter and getting colder this week so I set it aside to not lose it. I then spend 20 minutes today ripping apart everything trying to remember my clever spot that I set this down at so I wouldn't lose it. I even went back down stairs to the laundry room looking for it. When I finally did find it there were all the inevitable questions. Why did I put this here? What was I thinking? How did this even get here? Why do I never learn not to do this?
