This is why no matter what mood I am in I try to remember my basic manners. Please, thank you, have a great day, etc. Just because I am in a mood doesn't mean everyone needs to be.
That was a really good read and gave some great insight to how the story came to be and how it became so popular.
Work feels like a tomb today and I think this will be the vibe for some time. Everyone that would turn on the radio/music is gone so that source of noise is gone. There is barely any staff so no one is talking because they are all in various corners of the building. About the only noise is the occasional forklift running. To top it all off, all the thermostats are still set to AC instead of heat and no one wants to change them because that is a "managers responsibility". Which is normally the case but you know, no managers and all that. I went and found the one for our area and fixed it. It's still chilly but it's not as bad.
I generally like Fall the most. Outside of the random cold snaps it's that nice middle ground between summer and winter with none of the mess of spring.
Yeah, that's a little to far in the other direction for me. A nice 10c/50f would be a very comfortable temp and we will be kind of getting to that here for the next few days before another slump. It's just that time of the year I guess. I'm just not happy that it has shown up this early and I'm concerned what this is saying about the rest of the winter
I'm always like this with the first big temp drop of the year. Eventually my body just gets kind of numb to the cold and I am good for the winter.
It's currently -3c/26f, with the windchill it's -8c/17f, and I know logically that it's going to get a lot colder but it still feels so damned cold right now. It's that first cold snap of the season and I just feel it in my bones.
I went out Saturday and found a great local cafe that is near my place. I think this is going to be my new normal spot on a Saturday morning. After that I hibernated pretty hard. This weekend has been really cold here and I just kind of curled up in a ball and ignored everything outside.
