177170 YES,YES, YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!

Even though I knew this was coming, I screamed "yeees" so loud, I think the old lady next door banged something against the wall to complain about my exclamations. Anyway, it was way past midnight, so she was right.

But how coooool is that???? DEAD, DEAD, DEAD!!!!

My favourite wedding in the book!!!!

Purple Wedding!
177170 "Lady was dead, though; Robb, Bran, Rickon, Arya, her father, her mother, even Septa Mordane. All of them are dead but be." She was alone in the world now.

I felt sorry for Sansa while reading these lines, but then I thought: And what about Jon? Jon is family. Did you forget about him? Of course you did.

And then I remembered her wedding day...And the fact that she never kneels to help Tyrion put the cloak around her shoulders. She completely ignores him... Tyrion, the man who saved her from Joff's hands. And just like that I don't feel sorry for her anymore.. Whatever she suffered, suffers or will suffer, she had it all coming.

Btw in the show, we see Sansa kneeling and even though it is a bit awkward at least she helps him save some of his dignity. Why did they do that??? Some changes I understand, but others like this one? This one actually bothered me...
177170 Yes, this was awful. An inappropriate demonstration of power and domination.
177170 Best chapter of the book! We get a lot of information about the Night's King, even speculation about his true identity. If that is true this would be a fantastic revelation in our story.

Also I loved the part with the magic door.
177170 Then who???
177170 Leslie (aka Basesloaded32) wrote: "Lol at cute ass!

Jon Snow had never come anywhere near Lena or me. I am pretty sure Restraining orders will be handed out."

LOL!!!! Soon very soon Leslie!
177170 I think it's because of the bloodbath...I think this was the chapter with the most deaths and most blood.. :(

RE: Ygritte's death
-Sorry for you loss Jon but she was ..."

Phhhhahahahaha!!! I agree with you! Let's face it people...She had to go.
177170 Boom, Doom, Boom...

And that was the Red wedding my friends...The Starks really need to stop being so naive and walk right into death traps. Pffff..
177170 "bread and salt"
"now we should be safe"she thought.

Laws of hospitality my a$$.

Yup, we all see it coming...
177170 Okay this is one of my favourite chapters so far.

The bad thing with TV series is that we miss some of the coolest stuff happening in the books. For instance, in this chapter we see a different kind of magic with the ravens helping Sam, talking to him, attacking the others to protect him.

Also the elk rider is obviously a magical creature, since his hands are described as black and cold and hard as stone. He seems pretty dead... I was wondering...How many kinds of dead folk are there?? So far I've read about wights(cannot be killed with dragonglass), and others (can be killed with dragonglass) and then there is this guy who seems cold and lifeless and yet he had the sense to save people...

177170 "Jon would never harm a son of mine."
"no more than Theon Greyjoy would harm Bran or Rickon?"

I simply cannot stand Catelyn sometimes. She is so blind when it comes to Jon. I hate it when she refuses to see how much she has wronged him. It's her fault his cute ass is freezing in castle Black.
177170 Leslie (aka Basesloaded32) wrote: "Oh and I am glad I am not the only one who does not like her."

LOL!!!!!!!!!
177170 But that was the tourney when he (Rhaegar) crowned Lyanna Stark as queen and love of beauty!" said Dany. "Princess Ellia was there, his wife, and yet my brother gave the crown to the Stark girl, and later he stole her away from her betrothed."

These last two chapters are so good...."

I don't like her either... She's annoying but strangely enough I enjoy the chapters with Jon and her. Their conversations are hilarious. I also wish she didn't say "you know nothing Jon Snow" all the time. It feels as if she is mocking him.

Perhaps it's Martin's way of telling us that Jon has no idea who he really is and what is actually happening..
177170 Regarding the theory that Jon is half Targaryen and half Stark I'm not fully convinced. The main reason is FIRE. As Leslie pointed out his hand got burnt. If he can burn then how can he be one of the dragon's 3 heads???

After rewatching the series I saw this scene and I was 100% sure the theory stands. Also I agree with you Alex. Littlefinger is the second person after Martin who knows what's going on.

Before season 6 aired I was positive that Jon would be brought back (not by Melisandre) after his body was burnt. I watched the trailer a hundred times and I remember seeing Davos standing over a burning corpse. So I thought that Jon would be reborn through fire just like Dany did. And that would also fulfill the prophecy Dany was told in the House of the Unduying. But then Melisandre brought him back and I was a bit disappointed because if he can be burnt then he will not be able to control dragons and that's not cool at all. One thing is for sure. Ned isn't Jon's father. I guess we will find out sooner than we think. I feel this season finale will be bloody and full of twists.

Overall, I don't like the idea that Dany is the only one riding dragons. Why not have a father of dragons? Or a dwarf uncle of dragons? I would love to see Jon, Dany and Tyrion riding their dragons against the Others. This would be the perfect ending for me...
177170 Alex Farrand wrote: "The other theory, which would be interesting is that Cersei and Jamie are really Targaryen and Tyrion is a Lannister. Kind of makes sense with them being lovers and Targaryens slept with one another."

Oh this is the first time I hear about this... That would be an amazing twist...
177170 People are probably sick and tired of me saying how much I love Tyrion's chapters so I will say that in this book Bran's chapters were by far THE BEST!!!
