Everyone would make a better ruler than Cercei.. I feel a bit differently. I always thought Tyrion stood out. He just never seemed like a true Lannister. Yes, he has Tywin's intelligence but other than that..
I guess we will keep that part of the book in mind. Sooner or later we will find out.

Thanks Ria! I read the first book in Greek and I wasn't a member of the group so I probably missed it.

hahahahahaaa!!!!! sorry.. you're almost there...I guess you're right about the spoiler. One thing is for sure. Martin does not disappoint. He even has us discuss theories about imaginary, fictional characters.

I agree...Martin is Super clever.. He has created this whole world. It seems impossible sometimes. I often try to imagine what his house may look like. I picture him living in a mansion. The basement is full of pictures and post its pinned on the wall connected with colorful yarns (detective style). It has to look like this..

Towards the end of the chapter Lady Genna (Jamie's aunt) talks with him. Any comments-thoughts for the last paragraph of the chapter???

(view spoiler)Also I was just scanning through Jamie's chapters. When you read Jaime-chapter 34 final paragraph I really want to hear your thoughts... We're given a pretty clear hint there.

The final chapters were quite good actually.

Vishakha wrote: "Yeah the babies switching was a nice twist, it was done because Melissandre was at the Nights Watch and since she has the tendency to burn people and things, she might want to sacrifice Kings blood..."Yes, they show it in season 6 but there is no baby switching. They left this part out.

Roseanne wrote: "There has to be a reason she hates him so much. I want to know why"Apart from Tyrion being a dwarf and the belief that he killed Joff and the fact that he killed their father what more reason would she need to hate him??? It's Cercei. You cough she hangs you... LOL

I'm afraid you are right Leslie. I heard season 7 and 8 will be both very short approximately 15 episodes in total and season 7 will have some scenes from the 6th book (Martin didn't give everything away till his book comes out) and the 7th book and season 8 will be about the final chapters of book 7.By the way did they announce a release date for the WInds of Winter???
Yes, the movie was amazing! Emilia was excellent! I suggest you read it anyway... You already know the story but as usual there are some parts that were not included in the film. And there is always the second bookAfter You

Vishakha I feel the same. I would like to help but I am not sure I am ready for something like this. Also I guess being a moderator requires time and my work schedule is unstable which means I will not be always able even to log in. I'll have a look at the guidelines and get back to you in a couple of days.
Brianna that would be great! I don't know if anyone is interested in roleplays. I am not. I had joined a group like that and I hated it.

1. This book and A Dance with Dragons are really two parts of the same (giant book). Did you like that GRRM split the books by narrator?I didn't enjoy this book as much as the others but now that I have finished it I think it was a good idea.
2. Do you think that GRRM is getting swamped by the sheer number of characters he has in these books? In this book alone, we have 9 new narrators.
That is my one big problem with his books. All these names all these characters...Some of the characters are quite important but I am simply unable to remember them. Sometimes I do remember the name but I cannot remember who the person is. If I am lucky and remember the chapter the name appeared I reread it.
3. Cersei has spent most her time in the other books trying to get power, but now that she has it, she can't really handle it. Why do you think that is?
Because she lack 2 basic qualities: EMPATHY, TEAMWORK. Of course she cannot handle it.
4. Do you think that Jon had Samwell's best interests in mind when he sent him to be a maester or is he thinking of the Watch?
I haven't really thought about it... Since he is so dutiful I guess he did it for the watch.
5. Why do you think the Brotherhood without Banners brought Catelyn back to life?
They haven't showed this in the TV series so I am guessing it's not so important. Maybe they will resurrect her in season 7. Well the only reason I can think of is that they have a common enemy: the Lannisters. Since the rest of the Stark family members are either dead or missing Catelyn would serve as the face of the war, the face of revenge. Perhaps they are going to spread rumors that she is alive which will intimidate both the Freys and the Lannisters.
6. Every member of the Martell family has their own plans. Which one do you think is the best?
I liked Arianne's plan.
7. Why do you think the Faceless Men gave Arya the milk that caused her to go blind?
Oh I know the reason and I wouldn't want to spoil it! I think it's easy to guess though!
8. Why do you think is Jaime worried about his honor now? He has turned his back on his family to do so.
Because he finally realises that his whole life he has been sort of a slave to the sick plans of his family. He has never felt happy. He is not getting any younger, he has lost a hand and his page on the book with the Kingsguard's achievements is still empty. So he breaks free.
9. Who, as a narrator, do you miss most in this novel?
T Y R I O N !!!!!!!!
