Yeah what's the deal with the outlander series? I wanted to read these too but I read some reviews, I saw your ratings and I changed my mind. Too risky and I already have too many reads planned.

Not just a dick.. I suspect later in the books he will play a major role (supposing Sam is also a major character) and he will probably become as hateful as Joffrey.

Agree with everything Ria said... To those of you considering reading it before LOTR I suggest you skip it. If I had read this first I would never have touched the LOTR trilogy.

Same here Ria. I'm struggling to finish Silmarillion. It's not what I expected. Nothing like Lotr.. There are many parts that interest me and it doesn't have lengthy and detailed descriptions but it feels as if I'm studying for history exams. I just want to get over with it.

I agree with Ria.. This book gives a lot background info and at some point you realise that it all leads to a bigger thing.. Martin had to give us these chapters. I would be disappointed if he hadn't.

You are right Terry. I don't think they will kill Cercei or Jamie long before the end of the show. It will probably happen in the last season. But then again there is the final battle with the whitewalkers. I just don't see how they can fight them while Cercei is still alive. She's just too mad to unite the 7 kingdoms against such an army. It will probably be Dany who does this. Maybe season 8.
