Comics and graphic novels absolutely count. I read several of them a year!

So very true! It's harder to find books that have been successfully banned, but it does happen sometimes.

Definitions:

Memoir: an historical account or biography written from personal knowledge or special sources.

Autobiography: an account of a person's life written by that person.

Biography: an account of someone's life written by someone else.

(It's not your imagination - memoirs and autobiographies are pretty much the same thing)
