133888 How would you assess your reading overall? It was okay. Not as good as in previous times.

Did you have a strategy, and if so, did you stick to it? Nope,

What was your favorite snack? My donuts

Did you add any new books to your TBR/wishlist after seeing what everyone else is reading? No, I didn't

What was your favorite book or experience from this readathon? My favorite book of the readathon was Burn Down Rise Up by Vincent Tirado

I have WAY too many bookish candles! LOL, but that's my absolute favorite one! I think it's the third of that same scent I've gotten.

I drink lots of water, too, and not too much caffeine, I had 1 can of soda and 2 regular-sized cups of iced coffee, though the iced coffee if more milk and sugar than coffee.

133888 I love to burn candles during readathons, which leads to me next discussion question.

What are your favorite bookish scented candles/wax melts? What are your favorite scents to burn during readathons? Do you find any distracting? Or what scents do you associate with your favorite books or reading in general?

My favorite bookish candle is my Reading at the Cafe Candle, which is coffee and chocolate pastry scented.
My favorite scents during readathons and in general are coffee and baked goods.
I don't usually find scent distracting.
And butterscotch makes me think of Harry Potter, one of my favorite series.

133888 What are you reading right now? Mother Dear by Nova Lee Maier
How many books have you read so far? 2
What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the readathon? Not sure.
Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? Yes, just sheer tiredness, I've just switched to music or podcasts for a while to help me wake up.
What surprises you most about the readathon, so far? How tired I've been. Usually I'm more pumped up.
Apr 30, 2022 03:59PM

133888 None from today's reading seem like good pet names to me.

133888 This hour's discussion is about fatigue during the readathon.

Today's been horribly rainy here and I've been exhausted. I've listened to music and had extra coffee to wake up. I do plan to sleep tonight, but I need to make it to at least 10pm.

So that leads to this hours discussion questions:
What do you do when you start to feel fatigued/tired during the readathon? Do you take a nap? Have a dance party? Just switched up what you're reading? Drink caffeine?
Apr 30, 2022 03:23PM

133888 I had pizza for dinner.
