Think about it: your book is a part of many different genres! What genres is your book? Why?

My book is I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak. The genres of my book are mystery, suspense, and a bit of action/adventure.Mystery: In this book, the protagonist, Ed Kennedy, is trying to figure out who has been sending him messages to complete a variety of tasks. Who is behind this and their motive for doing so puzzles Ed. He wonders why a normal taxi driver like himself has been chosen as the messenger.
Suspense: This book has an element of suspense because as a reader you constantly want to know who is behind the secret messages and what Ed is going to have to endure next. There are tense moments throughout the plot as Ed is forced to overcome difficult assignments.
Action/Adventure: There is a bit of this genre within the book when Ed has to undergo some risky and dangerous missions.
