1176148 I'm hoping to read The Latecomer in 2023 as well, and Lessons in Chemistry too. Good list you have!

1176148 A handful of your series are series I also read -- I hope you enjoy them!

1176148 I read Cronin's "The Citadel" very early this year and liked it, Joy. I hope you like "Keys" -- and your other choices as well!
1176148 I suspect books 2 through infinity sell more reliably than standalones following standalones, so publishers are more likely to take a chance on a new author pitching a series than a new author with a single work.

Good for you going for two lists!

1176148 I hope I can get this one soon, too. I really like Picoult and she always expands my horizons on whatever issue she's talking about.

1176148 I hope I can get it soon too: I really like Amy Reichert. I'm also reading her The Optimist's Guide to Letting Go this month, which was picked for me in PIFM.

I do that too. I list 10 possibles for each month, and if I read something along the way I mark it off, and then when the month comes I pick from what's left.

1176148 Act of Oblivion looks fascinating, Joy. (Like I need another book on my TBR)

1176148 Yeah, I'm considering. Last year I listed too many, and too many by authors that when it came time to pick something to read, I just couldn't get excited about. So I need a different approach.
1176148 Amy, I haven't read all these authors but I've never read anything by Siddhartha Mukherjee that wasn't extraordinary, so I'm really looking forward to that one.
1176148 You have a strength of character to which I can only meekly aspire, Amy. :)
1176148 I have it on my radar but I haven’t decided yet. I guess The Palace Papers will yea or nay it for me, probably.

1176148 You're welcome. :)
1176148 I did, and you are right, Desley!

Happy reading!"

Logically that's wrong, but emotionally that's absolutely right!! And I have the empty wallet to prove it.

True -- I always add more than I read because of this challenge!

I appreciate that you didn't treat me like a complete dummy....lol. Somebody will eventually write Book Challenges for Dummies...lol"

We were all new to challenges once. :)
1176148 Jackie, that's a good plan..... if it works. LOL

Alondra -- we do need help, but not til phase 4 or 5 of the challenge....

1176148 So every month I post what that month’s colors are in a separate thread. You go through your books and choose one or more that have at least one of that month’s colors on the cover (any amount is fine, although obviously a preponderance of the color is preferable) and post them in that month’s thread. As you read, come back and post what you thought. It’s just a fun way to get books off our TBRs. :-)
1176148 Even if they don’t, I’m in the “excitement” phase of the five phases of the annual challenge, so I won’t notice.
