Jen's 2024 Second List of Series Books I'll Stare at All Year But Not Read 'Til the Last Minute

Madeline wrote: "You are a super speed reader, I’m jealous every year of all the books you plan on reading."I can't take too much credit: it helps that I have a lot of time at work where I can listen to books while I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing. Not many people have jobs that give them a thousand hours a year of book listening time! But thank you. :)

I binge-read Julie Mulhern's country club series about a month ago and now I'm salivating for the next one to come out. I mostly wish that I caught when Audible + puts an expiration date on something earlier. But that would mean going through my whole library more often and it just doesn't happen.

I've read a couple and liked them, Denise -- the biggest reason I'm putting it here is some of them are on audible plus and those eventually expire. This way I'll for sure get them read (don't destroy my illusion, please.....).

Yep! My dad shipped me all of those a long time ago and I whipped right through them. Koko and Yumyum are old friends. :)

I'm of the opinion that much of the time the biggest obstacle to a nonfiction book getting published is they can't get the cover quite ugly enough. Plus I run a challenge called "ugly once a month (pretty the rest of the time)" so I'm always on the lookout for the skugly, the fugly, and the butt-ugly.
Cecilia wrote: "Wow I feel super slow. I don’t see anything. Just the title of the group then group description and group details nothing that says add a thread. 😖"It's pretty small and easy to miss. Go to the group home page. Scroll down until you see the "3rd annual reading challenge" in green. Click *on the words* "3rd annual reading challenge" and it will take you to a page where the top line says "discussion >3rd annual reading challenge. Immediately below it, to the right, before you get to the little thumbnail picture, you'll see the words "edit folders" and "new topic." Click new topic, name yours whatever you want your challenge to be named, put at least 1 letter in the comment box (you can't save a topic without at least one comment) and save it. Then you can come here and copy your list and go back there and paste it in.
PS you may not be able to do this from the mobile app. You may need to be on the desktop view to do it. I don't know that for sure, though, because I don't use the mobile app.
This list will change because some of it will get read this year. *******Finished 11/26/2024*******
