1026446 The House of Lost Horizons A Sarah Jewell Mystery by Mike Mignola The House of Lost Horizons: A Sarah Jewell Mystery ★★
An Agatha Christie inspired locked room murder mystery peripherally set in the Mignolaverse. Sounds like a natural fit but this was just boring and drawn out.

Tales From the Outerverse by Mike Mignola Tales From the Outerverse ★★★★
Three shorter stories, two of which are fighting the Hexencorps, which are these terrifying, cannibal witches.

The Worst Dudes #1 by Aubrey Sitterson The Worst Dudes
The Worst Dudes would be more appropriately titled The Worst Comic.

Radiant Black, Vol. 1 by Kyle Higgins Radiant Black, Vol. 1 ★★★
This falls into the normal schlub gets superpowers genre.

1026446 Avatar The Last Airbender North and South, Part 2 (North and South, #2) by Gene Luen Yang Avatar: The Last Airbender: North and South ★★★★
The last of the Avatar: The Last Airbender continuations by Dark Horse.

Castaways by Pablo Monforte Castaways ★★★
Julio and Alejandra meet in Madrid and then 10 years later in Barcelona. The story alternates between the two time periods, differentiated through two monochromatic color palettes.

The All-Nighter by Chip Zdarsky The All-Nighter ★★★
This is about a vampire who is inspired to become a superhero. Once word gets out, other supernatural creatures become villains, using it as a loophole to appear in public without exposing monsterkind.

A Lovecraftian love story set at the end of World War II.

Even though this is a prequel, I think you may be better off watching the new cartoon first and then come back to this.

Different creators write stories set in the Black Hammer universe ala Legends of the Dark Knight.

Julian is your stereotypical, unabashed loser druggie. His girlfriend finally gets fed up and kicks him out. Julian never learns as he attempts to take advantage of everyone he knows.

A half baked story of dream worlds and reality with a plot stolen from Dr. Sleep.

Some solid horror about a loser teenager and the girl he loves becoming the next Children of the Woods.

Lewis Trondheim's The Fly by Lewis Trondheim Lewis Trondheim's The Fly ★★
A wordless comic about a fly's life from its birth in a trash can up until its death. I know this is supposed to be goofy and fun, but I just found it tedious.

Pandemic (Green Class, #1) by Jérôme Hamon Pandemic (Green Class, #1) ★★★
A by the numbers post-apocalyptic tale about some teenagers trapped within a walled city after a mutant plague breaks out.

1026446 Madman Library Edition Volume 2 by Mike Allred Madman Library Edition Volume 2 ★★★★★
Madman has had such a haphazard run of books over the last 30 years over a ton of publishers. It's awesome to have it all in one place. I love the ginchy nature of the series too.

1026446 The Amazing Screw-on Head and Other Curious Objects by Mike Mignola The Amazing Screw-on Head and Other Curious Objects ★★★★★
A bunch of oddball odds and ends from Mike Mignola. These wacky but macabre tales are great.

The EC Archives Terror Illustrated by Al Feldstein The EC Archives: Terror Illustrated ★★★
Billed as Picto-Fiction, this EC collection isn't true comics but more illustrated prose.

Apocalypse Ahead (The Mythics, #3) by Philippe Ogaki Apocalypse Ahead (The Mythics, #3) ★★★
A comic for kids about some children from around the world who inherit powers to battle evil. It's a decent setup for a kids' comic. The issue is that it's very repetitive.

Out of Body by Peter Milligan Out of Body ★★★
A man in a coma begins to have out of body experiences where he's helped by a psychic and his soul is pursued by a satanist.

Silver City by Olivia Cuartero-Briggs Silver City ★★★
This has a neat concept. It's about a purgatory that everyone goes to when they die that is kind of a dreary steampunk city.

Miles to Go by B. Clay Moore Miles to Go ★★★★
This was really good. It's about a mom who was trained to be a hitman at 13. Now a government agency has killed her mentor and is coming after her and her daughter.

1026446 God of War Volume 2 Fallen God by Chris Roberson God of War Volume 2: Fallen God ★★
Pretty pointless.

Hyper Scape by Christofer Emgård Hyper Scape ★★
Ready Player One without all the nostalgia. Based on a video game I've never heard of.

Falconspeare by Mike Mignola Falconspeare ★★
A decent vampire story marred by overly busy, rudimentary art.

Critical Role The Mighty Nein Origins Caleb Widogast by Jody Houser Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins: Caleb Widogast ★★★
A really dark and depressing story of a young mage sent off to school where he was twisted into being a monster for the Empire before breaking free. Not bad, but also not as fun as other Critical Role comics.

Heimdall fights draugr in the latest Marvel prose novel set in Asgard.
