[close] This is a Private Age Restricted Group. Your Profile must be set to Public to join We also respect the sometimes need for privacy so you may also send a Private Message to Moderators Coty, M'rella or Michael The LGBTQ/GSM (Gender and Sexual Minorities) Fantasy & Science Fiction group focuses on fantasy, science fiction and paranormal stories whose major characters have diverse genders and sexual orientations. We are here to provide discussion groups and share great books we've read with each other in the fantasy and sci-fi genre and sub-genres. While many of the books are for the adult audience, this is not an exclusive erotica group. Our group covers anything from young adult fiction to asexual romance to erotica. Let the fun begin!

[close] Are you a queer woman who meanders book stores for hours searching for LGBTQ+ stories with little luck? Do you research LGBTQ+ titles before you even leave the house because if you don't go in prepared, you won't find anything in the endless rows of bookshelves? When you're searching for LGBTQ+ stories, do you only ever find the same 5 books referenced on every blog? If you've answered "yes" to at least one of these questions, then Girls Love Girls and Books is the group for you. This book club is an intersectional safe haven for queer women and allies to enjoy literature that relates to their experiences in the LGBTQ+ community. Through fiction and non-fiction literature, we aim to give queer women of all backgrounds a space where they can discover, read, and discuss literature about queer woman in a fun and accepting environment.

[close] I'm making a small commitment in 2019 to read one book a month that was written, or co-written, by a Black woman. My hopes for this group include: 1) creating a safe, non-judgmental environment for men to come together and thoughtfully engage with the works of Black women; 2) wrestling with and hopefully unlearning toxic beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that we have toward Black women; 3) to boost the works and lived experiences of trans, queer, fat, poor and working-class, incarcerated Black women and to support them by purchasing their works; 4) to plan and implement 1 actionable thing a month that we can do to better be in community with Black women. EVERYONE is welcome! Please spread the word ! I know that life can come at you fast, so there are no strings attached--come and go as you please! Thank you for joining me! (The book list can be seen under the photo tab.)
