This scientific Vedic system incorporates ayurveda, yoga, architecture and interior design (vastu) through the explanation of the universal laws of nature as they pertain to the health of man-made structures, in correlation with, the health of the environment and those people who reside within these structures in the surrounding environment. As a yoga instructor, reading the literature of those teachers who are responsible for the birth of Western Yoga practice is the goal toward higher learning. The premise of yoga is to improve your understanding of ones personal lifestyle through total immersion to attain higher cognitive knowledge of yoga through its study of the master's. What is yoga? What is the purpose of yoga? What can yoga do for you? What is vastu? What is ayurveda? How can I create a calm and peaceful space for myself in a hectic and busy environment? These are a few questions in regards toward becoming enlightened on your path to a higher cognitive level through the study of Vastu shastra. Vastu is part of a larger scientific pedagogy and methodology toward living in harmony with oneself and others, improving environmental aspects within the biosphere we live and improving our interrelationships both at the cellular level and socially (jyotish astrology). Vastu shastra emphasizes the Bio Psych Social--the choice to live within the parameters of "the circle of life;" having the understanding how to sow the land through reusing, re-purposing and rethinking purposeful use of energy. Vastu shastra is a lifestyle; India is the birthplace of vastu, ayurveda, yoga, jyotish astrology and Buddhism. In China, through the study of Buddhism learned about "Vastu" and renamed the system "Feng Shui" to suit their purpose and understanding of the correlation of life.
