Civil War

A civil war is a war between organized groups within the same nation state or republic, or, less commonly, between two countries created from a formerly-united nation state.

In America, "Civil War" is often used to refer to the American Civil War. In Britain, it usually refers to the English Civil War (one of many). Other civil wars in modern times include the Irish Civil War, the Spanish Civil War, and the Syrian Civil War.

Your Paris ended with Petain and Laval, your Vienna with Hitler, your Russia with Stalin, and your America may well end in the rule of the Ku Klux Klan! You've been more successful in winning your freedom tha ...more
