I found her more interesting, at that point in the story, than Daniel. I found almost everyone in the story more interesting than Daniel and Claudette. Those to navel-gazers bored me silly by the end.

Avant de finir ce roman, jai lu une formidable critique qui lencensait. Ne suis-je pas normale ? En effet, je nai pas été franchement transportée par lhistoire. Pourtant, quand je lai commencé, je me suis dit, super, je vais me balader en Irlande avec un auteur irlandais. Claudette Wells, star du cinéma, connue et reconnue internationalement disparaît un beau jour de la circulation sans laisser de trace, avec quelques vêtements, son fils de 5 ans et son compte en banque bien fourni. Elle ne supporte plus le show-business et veut une autre vie pour elle et son enfant.

Le roman se découpe en chapitres dans lesquels on va suivre la reconstruction de Claudette, agrémentés de passages de la vie de chacun des personnages importants qui composent ce roman. Et comme une

Mes attentes de lecteurs étaient les suivantes: des descriptions de l'Irlande à couper le souffle, des paysages venteux et une prose aussi poétique que Susan Fletcher.
J'ai été assez déçue.

Decouverte de Maggie O'Farrell et pas déçue du tout ! J'ai beaucoup aimé la plume de l'auteur, les histoires entrecroisées des protagonistes. J'ai ris, eu le coeur serré, les larmes aux yeux, parfois un peu d'incompréhension et j'ak été séduite par Assez de bleu dans le ciel.
