The main characters are a period, a question mark and an exclamation point. All things I know. But this is the first time I ever knew about a dash, a hyphen, a comma and quotation marks. These are all cool. My 4-year-old brother loved reading this too.

In fact, have written two picture books about punctuation--ALFIE THE APOSTROPHE and PENNY AND THE PUNCTUATION BEE. But mostly I write nonfiction for children. I have written several chapter books about animals for National Geographic, including my most recent one, DOG ON A BIKE, as well as two seri
