I took a class in web development about a year ago, and was required to read this book. The whole experience was awful, as I was taught a lot of outdated stuff by my mentor, and on top of all that, this book sucked donkey's behind. The reason to that is quite obvious. The book touches every single topic that there possibly is to web development; from the emergence of the Internet, to its future, and tries to cram all that information into 400 pages. It even tries to teach you everything from html, css, javascript, xml, dojo toolkit, apache web server, and A LOT of other stuff. As soon as the book touches one subject, and you actually start learning something, it skips to another one, leaving you confused and angry.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BOOK 'CAUSE IT EATS BABIES AND YOUR BRAIN CELLS!
