When I first read about Bjorn, the First werewolf, I really really wanted to know his story. I'm a sucker for werewolves and it's always fun to discover and read new takes of the werewolf lore.

description

Here, we read how Bjorn was turned into the First werewolf by Odin. After finding his wife and children slaughtered, he rages at Odin and begs for vengeance. Unfortunately, Odin is not a merciful god and he proceeds to curse Bjorn. Following years of being out of control with rage an

3.5 smutastically entertaining stars!!

That is what I needed today. This book entertained the shit out of me. I was pulled in from the start and couldn't wait to see how it ended. Oh and should I mention, once again, I'm starting with the 4th book in a series, instead of starting at the beginning. I feel like that is a true test for a book, if I can start halfway through a series, love it and want to go back to the beginning we have a winner.

Bjorn and Anja were married when they were separated

4 - "You… Just you." Stars!

We return to the Forgotten Brotherhood series for the fourth, but hopefully not the final book; Bjorn Cursed giving us Werewolf shifter Bjorn’s story. Changed by Odin centuries ago, Bjorn has roamed the earth doing his bidding without question ever since. That is until the woman he is sent to kill turns out to be his wife. Only Anja has been dead for longer than he has been serving Odin.

"Is it really you… I’ve dreamed this so many times."

I really enjoyed this one, anot

OK, maybe it's just me but I was BORED!!!

At the beginning it was nice to see how much they loved and how much they missed each other, but after 60 pages of this I wanted to scream!

There was too much sex! She walkes and he gets hard; she smiles and he gets hard; she eats a banana and he gets hard.... OK, I got it: he's been a monk for centuries and now he can't get enough, but, come on, too much is too much!!!!
They have sex wherever and whenever, even when they're runing away to hide!

When Odin orders Bjorn to kill a soul that escaped Freya’s hall, Bjorn never expects that the escapee is his long-lost wife Anja. Bjorn mourned the brutal murder of his wife and children and raged in grief for years. How can he now send his wife back to Freya for punishment?

Anja has no idea how she ended up in this new world. All she remembers is an endless void and then a bustling city. When Bjorn rescues her from some unsavory characters, Anja is stunned. Like Bjorn, she resigned herself to a

When Bjorn's wife and children were killed, he went crazy with grief. That's when Odin came to him and made a pact with him. Bjorn would get his revenge and Odin would give him the gift to get his revenge. But Bjorn didn't realize that the gods rarely give you anything without a price to pay for it. Bjorn's price to pay was becoming the first werewolf. With his new superior strength and viscous animal rage, he got his revenge but also killed a lot of innocent people along the way. again, another decent addition to the forgotten brotherhood series. i love when a series is a collection of independent stories set within the same world that can be read as standalones. this compliments the previous books nicely and effectively adds to the prior developments.

which makes me sad that i am so torn with this review and rating, because while i found the content of this story to actually be my favourite of the series so far, i found the narrative/writing to be a bit on the weaker si

I've loved this series and would happily recommend to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance. Yes it was wonderful for the guilt ridden Bjorn to finally meet up with his wife Anja but sadly for me their sexual antics just seemed continuous and I really wanted more action. I did enjoy the twist about a new character introduced but the ending just took forever with God's bickering and everything back and forth until if blunt I just wanted it over. I cannot stress how much I really li

I honestly don’t know why I keep coming back for more with this series, especially since my grievances keeps getting worse for every book, and I haven’t even read the first one. I guess it says something about either the writing or plot that I’m still in it, even though I can’t pin point what exactly.

My first grievance is also hard to explain. It’s just something with the writing that makes it feel detached in some way. The book has so much; action, romance, drama, a billion myths, creatures an

This book was refreshingly different. I actually thought "this has the loving family feel of a Hallmark movie" only with all the supernatural beings l personally like to read about and really steamy romance. Bjorn is the father of werewolves. Odin has ordered him to kill a woman. The only thing is unbeknownst to Bjorn it's the one woman he could never harm.
Anja is thrust into a world she had only heard stories about from the new dead in the goddess Freya's hall. Anja has been a servant there si

Book four of this highly addictive series does not disappoint as Bjorn unexpectedly finds his dead wife Anja alive. Worse than that he has sent to find the woman that escaped from Freya’s hall only to find it is Anja.
I loved Bjorn as the original werewolf but Anja was something else as she had to deal with a modern world she had never seen & she was so strong in her own right.
The storyline was good & brought in the others from the Forgotten Brotherhood which was a real treat to see them all int

4.5 - 5 Stars... I really need to start this series from the beginning.

The members of the Forgotten Brotherhood once again find themselves being used as pawns to entertain the Gods and Goddesses. At least that’s what it seems like. This time it’s Bjorn that they’re toying with and the situation that they have put him in is beyond cruel. As if his hasn’t tortured him enough, he finds his long lost wife, only to be charged with the task of killing her.

I’ve only read two books in this series, so

I’ve read all the books on this series, and I’ve loved everyone of them, big, gruff and surly, alphas to the core and happy to be on their own. But as you get to know each character, you realise it’s a bluff, they were lonely, and they needed their other half to drag them up and onto the light.
And Bjorn is not exempt from that either, but unlike his brotherhood, Bjorn had a family, he had a wife and children, but failed to look after them. They were slaughtered in a raid on his village!

Back then he was tortured and broken, but the Forgotten Brotherhood helped him become a better person and one of their own. Bjorn Cursed is an unforgettably phenomenal addition to this fantastically exhilarating series! It helps to bring even more intensity and emotion and danger to the already charged and deadly group of the Forgotten Brotherhood. This is a full charge ahead adventure that refuses to be slowed down or side tracked in its single minded focus of hope, love, and justice. Don't hold your breath because it will be stolen in the very next second.

I didn’t think the Forgotten Brotherhood could get any better or more intense. I was wrong. Bjorn Cursed grabbed me by the emotions and never let go until the final page.

Bjorn has endured centuries of ravaging pain, the need for revenge, and a loss so great that even killing those who deserve death only taps the surface of his anger, his pain. Now, he’s been challenged to find a woman who has escaped the afterlife – and kill her. Remember, the gods do nothing good for

Turns out Bjorn isn't just a grumpy growly old wolf, he's got a softer sexier side too -- it's just one only his late wife (who's death, along with their children's, resulted in his becoming an immortal Norse berserker who turns into a huge wolf so long ago) gets to see. Anja died while trying to protect her children from violent marauders while Bjorn had been called away to fight elsewhere. Anja's bravery gained the goddess Freya's attention who granted her the "honor" of serving in her hall in ...more

Despite the fact that this one didn't seem to have a whole lot of action, I really enjoyed it. And that mostly came down to Bjorn and Anja and their relationship. Of course, I loved all the Maccus we get (still my favorite) and I was thrilled to have Asher being his funny self again. I like how this series has the different pantheons and that this time we get the Norse. Always a favorite of mine.

OMG, The Forgotten Brotherhood is still getting better and better! My heart had broken for Bjorn in Burning Ash, hearing he lost his wife and children centuries earlier to a brutal murder. So, when N.J. Walters confirmed that the next story would be about Bjorn I did a happy dance. And when that purple cover came across Netgalley (I mean, you can't miss it, awesome cover) I nearly dropped everything and started on Bjorn's story.
