Sets you up for an interesting hobby

My grandpa did pyrography and it always fascinated me. So, I've decided to give it a try. This book claims it is for beginners, and that is the truth. It opens by explaining what pyrography is, necessary tools and materials, and how to set up your space for productivity and safety. I thought the safety bit was very imporrtant. I liked all the unique projects. There are several that use dried gourds, which I had not even thought you could do. I took off one star because I would have liked pictures of the projects. It is hard to visualize the finished product much less the steps along the way without pictures. Overall, I look forward to tryong my hand and some pyrography.

Excellent book

I am new to photography and love,it. This book was amazing, as it explained some of the techniques used in this type of art. I found the section on shading particularly helpful as i have had shading issues. Just thinking about, how, the light would shine or shade has helped a lot.
