This review is focused on Falling for My Fling by Dakota Davies - 3.5 stars.

Adventure Girl

I liked Caleb and Lori's introduction and I am looking forward to seeing where things go. They each listen and support each other in ways no-one else ever has. They are sweet and steamy together.

Even though this wasn't my favorite story from Davies, I enjoyed it all the same. The ending (really it's more of a cliffhanger as this is a prequel) was a bit predictable but how it plays out in the next book will be the test. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novella.

I pre-ordered this collection months ago and have been anticipating the moment it would arrive and I would finally be able to jump in.
It is always wonderful to read stories from authors you know and love- but the bonus here is that I was introduced to some authors who are new to me, and got the chance to see what they do, too. So now I have some more authors to add to my list and lots of waiting catalogues of books for me to one-click and explore.
One of my favourite authors, Marie Skye, has contributed to this collection with “Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You”. It is a sexy romp full of the humorous touches, banter, witty sarcasm, and steamy encounters that I love about her work. I really enjoyed meeting Perrie and Ash- and only wish their story was longer, but in a good way- as I would to have wallowed longer with them.

As you can see there is plenty to love about this collection- so grab yourself a copy and discover all the delicious details for yourself.

Thank-you to all the other contributing authors!

Happily Ever After will give you a warm happy feeling no matter the genre of romance you like. I read Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye, and I really enjoyed it once I got into it, at first, I did feel a little lost and almost like this was the second part of a story, and I missed the first, but then once I got into the story, I just simply fell for Perrie and Ash and their crazy journey to each other in the most backwards forwards roundabout manner. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the other stories.

I've read Forever Mine by Joanne Dannon and Faith Summers, and if the other books are just as good, then this is a great set! Ivy and Leo have crushed on each other for years, but he's her younger brother's best friend, so neither wanted to make a move and risk their relationship. However, when Ivy is invited to a wedding and knows her nasty ex will be there, she can't face going alone. She builds the courage to invite Leo as her plus one, and the sparks fly. But not everyone is a fan of their fledgling relationship.

I received an arc for My Twist of Fortune. It was so good! I'm so excited to start the Greene family. I loved seeing seeing Dori and Ethel again. Hank is so sweet. I really love him. Marla really called to me. I was in her situation and I could understand her pain. I just hope I might find a Hank one day. Great start to the new series! Can't wait for the next book!

I read the first in the series. I enjoyed reading about this summer fling or will it be more? It’s her first time and he has had many flings. They agree that this is all it will be. At the end of the summer, they will both go off to college in different states. Takes place in the beautiful mountains with lots of great water sports. Of course, now I can’t wait to read the next part.

Scorching skiddles! Joanne whips out one incredibly delightful, heartwarming thrill ride with all the heat, passion and the unbreakable family bond, holding steady from start to finish, jetting this jewel to a whole new level. Entwined, combined and tightly woven, showcasing the soaring ups and agonizing downs, breathtaking in it's simplicity and inspiring in it's strength, dramatic twists and wicked turns unfold as barriers break and lines blur solidifying the restrictions and limitations are amplified and tested, secrets confessed, revelations unmasked and promises made, blasting this baby to life spectacularly. The attraction and chemistry ignites with such intoxicating intensity of boundless emotions and infinite affection, drawing our characters closer, binding them to one another perfectly. The characters are complex, genuine and realistic with traits and qualities that balance and blend, with amazing depth and diversity and enough spice to add an extra kick to the mix. Throw in 100% on point realism, raising the stakes with such graphic scenarios that are so colorfully descriptive and vividly detailed its like you're living it with them instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Remarkable job Joanne, thanks for sharing this awesome little gem with us.

I haven't had the honor of reading this entire treasure, but from the introduction I can only imagine just how impressive this bad boy truly is. Showcasing a plethora of extremely talented and uniquely gifted group of authors collaborating together to present such a treasure is truly amazing. Remarkable job guys, thanks for sharing this incredible jewel with us.

Dakota Davies has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Lori and Caleb. Lori meets Caleb when she goes to her friend Annika's summer job and home. They hit it off and things heat up between them. Caleb went out with Delaney a couple of times and now she wants to get back together with him, but he is now seeing Lori. Delaney is not happy with Caleb seeing Lori. She is always trying to get Caleb to come and talk to her. Lori and Caleb sleep together and he didn't know that it was her first time and he gets upset by her not telling him. Lori only has until the end of summer to be with Caleb and then she has to go back to college. It is time for the end of season party and they are setting up things when the sheriff shows up with Caleb's sister Leah in the back of his car. The sheriff asks which one of her brothers is going to talk to her. Galeb and his brother, Pete along with Annika, their sister go to the police station to find out what is going on. Lori tells Caleb that she would go with him and he tells her it could take a while and she said that it is fine.
What will happen between Lori and Caleb at the end of the summer?
This was a wonderful book and it will leave you with a cliffhanger. I would recommend this book to anyone.

My Twist of Fortune (The Greene Family #0.5) By Piper Rayne

BLURB:

Two aching hearts. A meddling small town. A second chance.

It’s not a new story. Wife finds out husband’s been cheating on her and she packs up her four kids and heads back to her hometown, Sunrise Bay, Alaska.

Yeah, not a fresh start, but thousands of miles away from my ex will do just fine.

I’m prepared for the cold weather, the early snowfalls, and dark days and nights. What I’m not prepared for is coming face to face with my ex’s cousin and for the same feelings from twenty years ago to ignite like the flame never went out.

It doesn’t take long before people are whispering about the widowed Hank Greene and me. But we both have children to think of this time around. Then again, Hank knows what it’s like to be a single parent and sometimes those damn dimples of his make it hard to remember why we can’t be together.

This review is focused on My Twist of Fortune by Piper Rayne.

Here’s a story of a lovely lady
Who was bringing up four very lovely boy & girls
All of them moved to Alaska, with their mother
The youngest one in curls.

Here’s the story, of a man named Hank Greene
Who was busy with five kids of his own.
They were six folks living all together
Yet they were all alone.

Til the one day when this lady remet this fellow
And they knew it was much more than a hunch
That this group must somehow form a family
That the way they become the Greene Bunch.

Okay, so I probably shouldn’t become a lyricist, but you get the point. This is the prequel to the new series by Piper Rayne, The Greene’s. This is a second chance romance between widower Hank Greene and newly divorced Marla Greene (she was married to his cousin). Marla brings four kids to the mix and Hank brings five. This blended family will be the basis of the new series the Greene’s. I loved Hank and Marla’s story and I cannot wait for all of the kids stories. I received an arc of this book from the author for my honest opinion.

I have only read Forever Mine by Joanne Dannon and Faith Summers in this boxset, and my review is for this novella only. Facing an awkward situation, Ivy comes to the conclusion that her only solution is to ask Leo Haller to accompany her to her best friend's wedding as her plus one. Caught between a rock and a hard place, Ivy has to push down her feeling for Leo whilst at the same time having to face her obnoxious ex. Although they have been friends for many years, neither Leo nor Ivy have allowed themselves to acknowledge the simmering attraction between them. Leo's supportiveness and protective attitude towards Ivy make it difficult for her to ignore what is between them. Their only problem is facing Ivy's brother on their return home, as he knows both the best and the worst of Leo. This is an enjoyable romance that is well written and entertaining. I enjoyed the main characters and their connection and was glad that the story came to a successful conclusion. I received a copy of this standalone novella as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

No matter what you love - enemies to lovers, second chance romance, a forbidden tale, vacation fling, opposites attract, comedy, or contemporary romance - every story in this limited edition boxed set delivers a satisfying ending.

My favorite was “FALLING FOR MY FLING” by Dakota Davies. Their teaser story is a prequel to lead the reader in to Caleb and Lori's full story. The introduction will let the reader meet the characters and get to know them and their expectations, drawing out interest so the reader wants to see where the story goes next. Both of the characters pay attention to each other, unexpectedly listening to and supporting each other. There is a chemistry there that promises more to come. You won’t want to miss this one to warm you up for the next in the series!

This is a sweet collection of romances that deliver just what is promised. Most are easy and quick to read, yet still provide the reader enough to care about the characters and make them seem realistic. Grab your copy and enjoy what the authors have collected here for you!

What a collection of the most amazing authors ou there! I love every single story in it.

But letsntalk about one story in particular: My Twist of Fortune by Piper Rayne!
This story was the best way to introduce a new series! I loved Hank and Marla's story, it was wonderfully written. I was cheering for them throughout the whole book. And even tho I knew they would end up together, I was so under distress because of those teenage boys and their behavior.
But it is the perfect way to get to know all those Greene Siblings. I'm still a bit overwhelmed and confused cause there are so many, but to get a glimpse in their life was awesome. I'm excited to see, how all of them are when they are grown ups!
I can't wait to get the first book of the kids in to my hands!! And I want to see Hank and Marla as an older couple still so in love.

Ps. It was so great to get a reunion with Dori and Ethel, just love them!

Review of Rescuing Royce.

Another enjoyable book from this author. Both Royce and Amber were written as likable characters that you want together from the start of this book. I liked that the author alluded to Royce’s past “player” dating, but that we didn’t have to see it present day.

One negative was everyone pointing out that Royce was a player and out of her league. Especially crappy when it is a character that was a big player previously. Also, I really didn’t like Reese through most of this book. I didn’t like how she demanded that Royce stay away from her friends. She was so hardcore about it but then just changed her mind. Her character gave me whiplash.

Overall, I liked this book and would recommend it.

Happily Ever After is a boxed set of romance stories that will titillate and tantalise the reader. Many authors have written beautiful, sassy, sexy, steamy and so much more stories and there is a little of everything that will appeal to one and all.

Don't Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye was a quick, engaging read. When I saw Marie Skye had a story, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I could feel the chemistry and the tension is palpable. This steamy tale keeps you interested from start to finish. Marie’s writing is delightful, and you will fall in love with the characters who made me laugh and cry and everything in between as I journeyed along with the them.

Perrie is looking for a roommate, what she never expected was the one who responded to her ad. Will they remain friends or will they become so much more?

My Twist of Fortune by Piper Rayne
After some 20 years, Marla is back at her parents’ house in Sunrise Bay, Alaska. Difference is she’s now divorced, has 4 children and doesn’t have the means to get her own place.
Then there’s Hank Greene, her HS friend and former husband’s cousin/rival. He’s now a widower with children of his own.
From the outside this book might seem a reboot of the Brady Bunch, but it’s just perfect to start the Greene Family series. I loved reading about Ethel’s family and how they started and hence begin my guess work on how they will start branching out.
This novella is a great second chance story that gives the reader a nice glimpse of the series to come and where Ryland Greene’s place is in that family for those of us who already read the Baileys’ series.

I also had the opportunity to review “Rescuing Royce”. This book will have your heart pounding as their is both sizzling romance and a lot of action. I think that you really can’t help but fall for Royce, as he is definitely the alpha personality. Probably the only thing that I don’t like about his character is that he is quite obviously not into long-term relationships—-at least until he meets Amber. I like how strong Amber’s character was presented as. You can easily see that she is a woman who knows what she wants in her life, which ironically his handsome Royce. When forces come together that could break them apart, can they both get the love that they both desire? Can Royce actually settle down?

Forever Mine: Happily Ever After Collection by Joanne Dannon and Faith Summers -
Risking It All For Love -
OMG! I really loved following Leo and Ivy’s story after they finally acknowledge their feeling for each other and realise that they were each other’s one. Their perseverance despite the obstacles placed in their path, showed their determination to fight for what they wanted. This story was super sexy and romantic, with the addition of true love, great friendships and a strength that we all need in life to succeed. The story captured my attention from the beginning and didn’t let go until the end, but left me wanting to read more about Leo and Ivy’s life.

Rescuing Royce

I really enjoy this series but other than a few mentions of previous events it really isn’t necessary for you to have read the previous novels before this one, though it would enhance your enjoyment.

Royce is a love em and leave em type who has feelings for Amber who is part of the group he hangs out with, and good friends with his twin sister. Because of that both feel they can’t do anything with their feelings. The story takes you through the dance around, to a tense event that brings them together and how they navigate their feelings to lead to the HEA.

A good, full story with interesting characters

My Twist of Fortune

I'm excited that we're headed back to Alaska for the start of Piper Rayne's Greene Family series! After getting a glimpse of them at the end of the Bailey's series I was really excited to dig into who this family is and what makes them tick.

Marla and Hank are both single following her divorce and the tragic death of his wife and they are both trying their best to raise their kids in the small town of Sunrise Bay. Marla is putting the pieces of her life back together after moving back to her hometown and Hank is thrilled when he realizes his friend is back in town.

It was fantastic to see how the friendship Marla and Hank had grew into more and getting to know their kids in their youth and teen years and I can't wait to see what happens when they all grow up and start finding significant others to call their own. Bring on the Greene family!

Once again Piper Rayne hit it out of the park! The Bailey’s series has been my favorite. But The Greene Family…OMG! Absolutely love! The characters are amazing. Piper Rayne made me feel like I was right there with the characters and know them inside out. The storyline felt like reality.
Hank and Marla are two people who have been through so much in their lifetimes. What makes it harder to deal with would be children or I should say teenagers. After Marla finds out her husband cheated on her she goes back to her home town she has everyone talking about her and Hank Greene.
My Twist Of Fortune is the Novella of The Greene Family. I cannot wait to read more of the Greene Family. The next installment is Cade’s story. I am so ready to one click…

Good short romance
3.5
I have read Debra elise's story, but not all of the others in this anthology. It’s a well written, short story that contains a bit of suspense but is also romantic and hot with endearing characters.
Royce is attracted to Amber, his sister’s best friend, because of this friendship, a kind of prohibition is set. Yet Amber is also attracted to him and when he has to intervene to save her, all their hesitations are reset.

Rescuing Royce review

I really enjoyed this story. Royce had been warned to not sleep with Amber as she was his sister's friend. He was something of a womanizer - at least until he saw Amber for the first time. Then he had to find a way to not have his sister kill him. Amber felt the same way about him and it was sweet how they got their HEA.. A little drama, great friends and some hot sex. Good story

I read the Piper Rayne novella My Twist of Fortune that was in this collection. I love the writing duo Piper Rayne, they are always writing such great stories! This novella is the kick off to their new upcoming series with the Greene Family. The main characters are Marla who is divorced and Hank who is a widow, both with children of their own. Marla and Hank were friends before and this novella shows that friendship growing into something more. I can't wait to read more about this family in this series! 5 stars

This is the first book in an anthology of twenty one romances. This is a coming of age romance where a young girl is determined to lose her virginity on prom night. She's prepared with the essentials but the only problem is her date abandons her for another girl. When another prospect appears she's determined to guard her heart and keep it simple and one night. Their chemistry is off the charts and one night becomes more and more. This was a cute romance that I read as an advance copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review.

Review of My Twist of Fortune by Piper Rayne

This is a fab origin novella for the new series. I love the older main characters in their 40s and the introduction to all (10!) of their children.

There's a history between Marla and Hank, and they found their way to each other after each having gone through heartbreak and hard times as single parents.

Love this and can't wait to read the kids' stories!!

This review is for Marie Skye's writing "Don't Worry, I Still Hate You."

Marie Skye's contribution to this anthology is her piece "Don't Worry I still Hate You." If you are hesitant about trying an anthology "Don't Worry" you will love it! The writing will keep you interested from start to end with intriguing characters in an entertaining story. This likely will not be the last story you read of Skye's as she is a favorite author!
