For years now, Jonathan Baylis has enlisted the help of a wide range of artists to tell little stories about his life, under the So Buttons label. This collection, put together for the CAKE show (hence the name) features some of his best material from the most recent editions if I understand it correctly.
The highlight here are the series of stories about Baylis' time working in comics, illustrated by the legendary Fred Hembeck. Unfortunately for Jonathan, he picked about the worst time to be working in comics, when boom and bust was the norm. I also enjoyed the story of a secret recipe that isn't so secret. These are always fun and I love getting to read them.
