30-50% of people are introverts, but most of what's taught about how to grow a practice assumes you're an introvert. It can feel exhausting when trying to grow a practice following extroverted approaches. This book provides acupuncturists, chiropractors, naturopathic physicians, and functional medicine practitioners with practical tips to market a practice, the introverted way. The author, a sought-after speaker and introvert herself, Chen Yen, is the founder of IntrovertedVisionary.com, a company that provides systems and mentoring to holistic health practitioners to help support growth at different stages of practice (from starting out to 6 & 7-figures).
This short book is a fast read. It has some great tips and validation. I am an introvert for sure. I appreciated the author’s acknowledgement that introverts will do business differently than extroverts. She also said that many business coaches are extroverts.
I appreciated the tips in the book. I will be implementing these. I have my first clinic visit next week and used the referral prescription pad template linked in the book to make my own to leave with the providers. I love that tip. That one alone, made this book worth reading.
Overall, this book had great tips, but felt more like a webinar aimed at selling me a program than a stand-alone book. And that’s ok. The author provided the book for free as part of her marketing plan. Yet another example of how an introvert can get the word out.
I follow the GoodReads rating system. Please note that this means even the 3-star books are ones I liked. 1 star – didn’t like it 2 stars – it was OK 3 stars – liked it 4 stars – really liked it 5 stars – it was amazing; I’ll read it over and over and/or it will impact my daily life.
