Starting from the cover of the book the cover was so intriguing and attractive that I just picked it up without even going through the blurb. The book cover bags 10/10, as it purely, completely and apparently shows the journey of the story from a tree ( village, nature ) to bomb explosion ( war, destruction ). There is a moon, there is a hot sun, there is a tree, sand and a heart that connects all. A perfect book cover that shows the essence of the story.

The story starts with Adi an

I really liked the title and was hoping to find more meaning about the symbolism behind it. The meaning of the silence between words, the story between the lines. I think it's safe to say, I wasn't extremely disappointed but maybe I was hoping to see more depth or maybe it's my habit of reading too much into things that is to be blamed for my expectations.

Adi, who is described as a soft rebel, had contrasting traits that makes him an interesting character. A strong headed man with a

A story between the lines

Are you the person who remember everything ? Or are you the person you forget every little thing in life. The story is quite like memory loss incident ( not like gajni okay)

The cover of the book is like two different world one half with full of colours and other half is like sad part. And the tree I felt like it's a brain of one person half with full of memories and half with memory less.

A read about life and love which will leave you thinking!

A story between the lines by @santhoshsivaraj Its the story of love lost and found and yes you have to read between the lines here to get yourself some selfhelp and thoughtfulness.
The simplicity of human life and the way we make it complex has been brought out excellently in this book.

'Thoughts cannot solve any problems. They are the problems themselves.'

Adi is a freelance coder from the metropolitan. Nila a naive, pure soul from a small village. Both are miles away yet destiny brings them together to separate them again.

The title 'A Story Between the Lines' gives an impression of some hidden plot or the twist in the story. The cover supports the impression. The cover image gives two sides of a coin. The image of a forest suggests a good and happy side

First of all, the cover pic of the book is no nicely and meaningfully designed. The cover pic picks up the story.

Well, to be honest when I started reading this book at first I was a little too curious as the book felt like it's going to be magical. I mean not just the reading experience part but the story line as well, and well the author has tried to create that effect in some instances.
However, it didn't really gave me the exact happy ending I had presumed when half way through the book. For everyone out there, it might be a little confusing as to what did the author try to share with us in this st

You know sometimes you come across books that may not stay with you in terms of an excellent read, but some of their aspects surely leave a mark upon you. And as the title suggest, this WAS a story between the lines. Though a love story at the surface, there were so many levels to the book which only a few of us can dive into. Aft

A brilliant story which would surely make you fall in tears not once but on many occasion. To start with, I was deeply moved by the outer cover which shows what the World is, today! While there is a greenery with peace on one part, it is war torn on the other. This gives the hint as to what you can expect in this story. I felt really sad even before I could finish reading 50 pages. Little did I knew that there was even more to come. This is an emotional story that would appeal to any reader who ...more

If story between the lines is to be described in a one liner, it would be "Philisophical Romance". The story of Adi and Nila is the story of everyone's lives- love, loss, pain, ressurection. The book is all about the reality of life.

Adi meets Nila during one of his journeys. While walking through the jungle he comes across this bubbly, brave, and go-getter girl whose philosophy in life is very simple. Adi falls for this wonderful girl and decides to marry her. The life wi

Book review 30:

A story between the lines by Santosh Sivaraj

Foreword :
The tag line aptly says ' where the journey is more important than the destination '
The title and cover are a little confusing but probably meant to portray the past and present lives of Adi. A life which went from lush to barren. .
About the book:

Starting from the cover I must say it is one of the most attractive and creative cover I have seen in recent times. Talking about the title, it goes perfectly with the story and stands well justified too.

Moving towards the plot, it opens with Adi driving a truck in an alien territory having no certain memories of his actions. All he hears is a voice which sounds much similar to that of Nila, his missing wife, which echoes in the barren land. But the whole of conversation with that voice is more

A romance book which delivers life lessons well. The book is just awesome.
Basically, this is the story of Adi who is in search of his wife Nila, after suffering from memory loss because of an accident. But, Nila has just disappeared. She is the love of his life, he has to find her. No one knows where she is.
Throughout his journey, he met many people and learnt valuable lessons in life.
The ending quite surprised me. Does he find Nila in the end?

A love story with philosophical touch

The book starts with Adi dreaming about something weird in which he sees his wife. When he woke up, he realizes she wasn't there. Further, we get to know his wife, Nila, is missing from some time and even Adi has lost some part of his memory. Police are not able to help him. Then, he makes his own efforts to search Nila.
The story further takes us to the time when Adi and Nila had met. How they got married and how was their life.

For me, A Sory Between The Lines is more than a tale of love lost and found. It is a journey of discovering the simplicity of human life and how we choose to complicate it. The various twists in the plot and the transition between past and present, make the book an interesting read. The writing style of the author needs to be complimented as he manages to bring out every emotion with great honesty. When I picked up this book, I thought ‘here we go, another clichéd loves story by an Indian author’, but this book proved me wrong. This book has individuality and a freshness that many other new releases lack. The characters are written exceptionally and it was a treat to see them grow as the story progresses. The writing style is mesmerising; if you have never been in love, you will realise how it is after you read the book, because of the way the author has narrated the entire saga. The langu ...more

“A Story between the lines “is one book which you will never put down till you get to the last of it. One of the important things that this book made me feel was the cinematic experience it had given me with its writing. Starting from the cold mountains of India till the snow mountains of Madaya in Syria made me just see them. This in spite of the fact was not overly described like those 500-page novels and yet was sharp enough to make you feel. I believe the author has taken a lot of things to be granted from the reader, he assumes the reader to be knowledgeable and can get hint of elements and ...more

A beautiful book, which is surely more than just a love story. A love story, but set on a whole new level.
The characters of this contemporary read are simple yet so engaging. Nila and Adi can even be your favorite bookish characters as emotional inclination can be felt.
The narration of this story is just too good and very unique. An element of suspense remains there throughout the story.

A story between the lines : where the journey mattered more than the destination by Santhosh Sivaraja

Santhosh's first book " The blue moon day " was almost an anthology and it kind of ended with a suspense , ao o though this book must be a continuity of it and it ended up a totally different one , infact the genre was romance although technically it waz lot more than that. I loved this book too although it kind of emotional towards the end and I am someone who is kind of wary of emotional endings. But all said and done it's a masterpiece. The cover and the title of the book are in line with the plot. This isn't not only a love story, it's something else. The narration is crisp enough to keep the reader hooked to the book. The ending of the book left me speechless and the pace of the book is just perfect. The language used is simple and lucid. Character development is to the point and the book is edgy. Also, the book has some amazing one liners and the theme of the book is nice. Sometimes, the events may seem stretchy and farfetch ...more

When i read the blurb, it was intriguing. You seldom come across something like this and the story started out well. Few chapters in, you start getting the gist of the story, and it reaches a well deserved climax. There's a certain path the protag takes and his confusion owing to his situation is very evident. However, the only thing which messes it up is that the story is tad overstretched and loses its pace in between. Overall, a good take. Though when reading a fictional book, one may look fo ...more

“For a girl who came from somewhere and taught us how to Live – Nila”. These were the last lines of the book which get engraved in my mind as well. Such a nobleness of character expressed through Nila. Although She just comes in every alternate chapter considering that the author has alternated past and present sequentially, the impact she makes is huge.
