MOST ANTICIPATED! I just love stories that digs deep in plot and symbolism. Add an unforgettable brooding professor and his off-limits student to the mix…

This is the fourth book in the Gabriel's Inferno series and you really do need to read these books in order to fully understand and appreciate the storyline. I read the first books in this series FAST when they came out. They instantly ignited my attention (bad pun) and had me turning the pages until I reached the very end. This one not so much. The first three books also ignited my curiosity and I did pick up Inferno by Dante (2X) after reading the first book in the series. That was WORK. Whew! ...more

In the darkness of the hospital room, Gabriel resolved to protect, love, and care for his wife and his daughter, no matter the cost.

I still feel that books one and two are the best in this series. I may not have loved the plot of ”GABRIEL’S PROMISE”, but I still have so much love for Professor Emerson. He was the first professor that captured my heart and in this latest installment, Gabriel is still madly in love with Julia and completely

This fourth book starts right where book 3 ended. In the hospital with baby Clare and new parents Julia and Gabriel.

Once we're released it's all about baby, godparents, diapers, waking up in the middle of the night, family, friends, work.

But there's also this very suspicious car that Gabriel sees driving by the house a few times.

But we don't really have time to worry about that too much, because we need to decide if and how Gabriel can accept this new amazing job opportunity in Scotland

As a huge fan of Gabriel's Inferno series, this must be one of the hardest reviews I have ever written.

It has been years since I have read initial trilogy so it is hard to recall the details. But I clearly remember beautiful prose, easy flow of the story and emotional impact that books had on me. Sadly, all these aspects are completely missing in this fourth instalment. Dialogues felt rigid and forced, storyline dragged. So even though it was lovely to revisit my beloved characters, I

I have been a big fan of Gabriel’s series by Sylvain Reynard. I read them years back but I recall being enthralled by the story, the torment., the emotions, the love and the beautiful prose.

Gabriel’s promise is a different story from the other books, more “mature” as Gabriel and Julianne are now parents. I think seeing them as a married couple was both a blessing as Sylvain Reynard truly did a masterful job at painting parenthood and a curse. A curse as some of the uncertainty in their

Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well known Dante specialist from Harvard who made a name for himself at the University of Toronto. He’s now a full time professor at Boston University and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his wife Julia and new baby Clare. Gabriel and Julia were a few months away from their second wedding anniversary, and had come a long way since she was his graduate student. They’d survived scandal, and separation, and now life

It's been years since I've last stepped inside the sexy Professor Emerson's world, and it took this latest release for me to realize just how much I missed him and his beloved Julianne. Enamored with this couple from their first enchanted night spent under the stars in the apple orchard, through all the trials and tribulations they endured, they have become some of my most cherished storybook characters. Beyond thrilled to see their journey was continuing. A new chance to witness, once again, ...more

To my darling Julianne,
You’re asleep against my shoulder. Your hair is spilling onto my shoulder. Your warm breath is floating over my neck.
You look peaceful. You look beautiful. Our rest is frequently interrupted these days, so I don’t dare move, for fear of waking you.
You look comfortable and relaxed, trusting me to watch over you while you sleep. To protect you. To warm you. To hold you close.
This is love. A peaceful sleep in the arms of one’s beloved.
There was a time when you didn’t trust

When I saw Gabriel's Promise hit my kindle I did a little dance because more GABRIEL & JULIA EMERSON!!! These two have a special relationship and now that they are a family of 3 it's no longer just about them but of their sweet-Clare

I don't want to give much away because I want you to get lost in their story and go through the rollercoaster of emotions I went through. I had many questions at the end of Gabriels's Redemption and I feel they were answered in this one. Though I wondered if

This series is easily one of the best contemporary romances I’ve ever read. It transcends the genre with illustrious symbolism to art and history. I’ve never read something so thoroughly explorative of love, lust, chastity, sin and redemption!! Truly, Reynard is a spectacular, eloquent author that provoked emotions in ways that make me pause. What moreeeee could Sylvain possibly give us?!

For me, reading a new volume from the Gabriel'sInferno series is like participating in a family reunion and seeing dear people I haven't seen in a long time. It's good to find them!

In Gabriel's Promise, we realize how much we have grown, evolved with the characters.

We discover the legendary Professor Emerson in a new role: Dad.
Fatherhood suits him as well as his costumes.
He's just gorgeous.
As much devoted to Julia as to their little Clare, Gabriel is ready to do anything to make them happy and

Beautifully written and mesmerizing. Sylvain has an incredibly stunning way of writing and this was superb addition to the series. I fell in love with the characters and author all over again.
Note to the author - Thank you for creating this gem and bringing my favorite characters back to life.

I am an extremely big fan of Sylvain’s work and everything that has been written by this author was devoured. I am in love with the writing, with the story and the characters, the way the plot is created and the way the reader is involved in the action. I was completely absorbed from the first book than I came across and ever since – HOOKED completely.

“The Gabriel Series” is one of my favorite romance series and it sparked my interest for student – professor romance. I really enjoy books with

Starting 2020 next to Professor Emerson.. not a bad way to start, am I right? After quite a few years and many re-reads, Gabriel and his beloved Julianne are back! We weren't expecting this at all when Sylvain Reynard announced it but it surely was a good surprise for me. I am not complaining because I still consider Gabriel one of the swooniest heroes in romance and trust me, you'll melt all over

If you were a reader of romance back in 2011, you didn't need to hear the book titles to know who these characters were. Readers adored their love stories, as I did, so this was fun to be immersed in their world at catch up with the changes in Gabriel and Julia's lives.

Sylvain Reynard returns with another installment in the Gabriel’s Inferno series. Much like the other books in the series, this book has an elegant approach to it. A lot of the prose feels poetic and I do really like the attention to detail. There are some times when I do think it’s too much and takes over the pacing of the novel, but I do appreciate the author’s effort to keep the concept alive.

In this book, more character develop happens with Gabriel and Julia. There are more moving parts

Sylvain Reynard is one of my must read authors. Gabriel's Promise has been a long time in the making, but worth every second of the wait.

Now, I have terrible bookzheimers, and I didn't reread the previous books prior to diving in to book 4, so it took me a while to get my head back around where there story was at, but once I did it was full steam ahead for me.

If you’ve followed me for any length of time on social media, you already know that Sylvain Reynard is one of my favorite authors. I’ve been a devoted reader of SR’s since 2010 and my love for Prof. Gabriel O. Emerson knows no bounds. When it comes to book boyfriends, no one comes close to The Professor. So when it was announced that “Gabriel’s Promise” would be published, my excitement went into overdrive.

Loved FINALLY returning to Gabriel and Julia’s story

Professor Gabriel Emerson and his beloved wife, Julianne welcome parenthood with open arms. But as Julia struggles with how to get back into her PhD program at Harvard and some health complications from the difficult birth of daughter Clare, Gabriel struggles with the right decisions concerning his own career and protecting his family. It’s been several years since Gabriel’s Redemption and this book does not disappoint. It’s beautiful

I absolutely LOVED the story of Gabriel and Julia that played out so passionately in the 3 previous books in this series, I read them almost 3 years ago, and recommend everyone read them!!! This 4th book picks up right where book 3 left off in the life of the couple and their new born child. If you haven't read this series than you are in luck - because you can drive right in to this right after Gabriel's redemption, and probably enjoy it so much more!

But, I read this series almost 3 years ago-

Review: Gabriel’s Promise by Sylvain Reynard

Gabriel’s Promise is Everything I Didn’t Know I Was Craving For. First of all, let me start by saying that it was delightful to read once again a new story penned by Sylvain Reynard. It’s been two years since his last release, The Man in the Black Suit, and wow! Was it worth waiting for...

However, I’ll be completely honest. I asked myself what else could be said in a story that was simply perfection? Did I doubt of Sylvain Reynard’s

I’m not going to lie it’s been so long since I've read the trilogy but it’s Gabriel so why not indulge in some hot sensual reading again, Reynard’s style.

Every chapter made me warm up for what was yet to come and everything Gabriel’s came back to me. And actually add a little more of what I was missing.

Gabriel as a dad. His devotion to Clare was perfect like all the songs he chose ;) Loved his devotion to Julia as well and what Julia accomplish.

Loved the sense of family. Everyone joining
