First: Please read the blurb. It states that it is a dark novel and the triggers warnings. If those things are not for you, avoid this novel. She is not kidding. That said, I do think this could be Bea's best work.

Now for the story itself. Every single character is layered in complexity. They are all tormented individuals with passions and demons that are eating them alive. Rose, our female main character, had to quit her dancing career due to a medical condition that leaves her partially

Every so often an author will write a book that makes you view the world differently. That challenges the way you view works that the author has previously written and opens your mind to new ideas and experiences. Bea Paige has done that for me with this book. I normally do not like dark romance books. However, this book drew me in with the first words. I was immediately drawn to the character of Rose. Rose is broken in so many ways, from her debilitating illness to the experiences that she had ...more

The FMC was just portrayed in such an ugly and unattractive way. There wasn't a single likeable thing about her, so I had to stop.

Ivan and Rose’s story is so heartbreakingly shattering that you can’t help but fall into the deep dark abyss immediately. As the story continues you’ll be introduced to the other men that will join the two of them - Anton and Erik.

I’m throughly impressed with Bea Paige’s ability to capture raw emotion and despair with Steps. The characters thoughts and emotions leap off the page and right into your heart and soul.

I highly recommend the first book in the Finding Their Muse series, and look

As the blurb states, this book is dark, but it's also gripping and quite erotic with some BDSM thrown in for good measure! It alternated between the viewpoints of Rose and Ivan. Little known to Rose when she answered the job assistant advert, Ivan is someone she knows from the past. The other 2 males Anton and Eric are introduced, just enough to pipe my interest in them! All main characters have secrets and troubled pasts. Ivan isn't used to not getting his way - Rose has him questioning his ...more

Utterly haunting and tragically beautiful.
When a dark romance is done right, it can show the ugliest side to a flawed character and make your heart yearn for their redemption. It should be raw and painful while maintaining the alluring spell of wanting to flip to the next page to read how it will all play out.
Bea Paige did this beautifully with her stunning prose and captivating characters. From the first chapter, I could not put this book down and felt immersed in this twisted tale of dominance

This book was so good. It’s really different in that all of the characters have many sides and personality traits that keep you on your toes. Obviously, with the ending I know something big is coming but I feel like there’s another character that is big trouble. I hope on book two, we get to see how all of their darkness comes together. Very excited for book two.

Holy mother of Toledo. This book threw me for a loop, but damn am I ready for more. The blurb isn't wrong, it is dark and there are moments that could be triggers.

When I first met Rose I had her pegged as a certain type of woman. Being an ex-ballerina I expected her to be poised, gracefully, and honestly docile. When I noted the BDSM hints I felt I knew exactly where the story was going with the meek ballerina stereotype and was intrigued on how the aspect of a reverse harem was going to play

Rose danced to live, she danced to survive and when her dancing was taken away, her past threatened to overcome her. Months of mental depression and physical pain took over her world. Finally, she resurfaced to take a job as the personal assistant to the mysterious Ivan Sachov. She immediately discovers that the Sachov family holds secrets as dark as her own. Sex, violence, pain, and desire. The Sachov's each hold demons as dangerous as Rose's. This job will either bring her back to life or ...more

Holy moly guys!
Be prepared for a dark and twisted romance.

I'm not going to lie, when I first started to read this, I was skeptical.
There are certain aspects about it that I'm not a fan of.
Nothing concerning the dark side of it.
But more personal things-like cheating.
Ivan, one of the main male characters in the story, doesn't care if the women he brings back to the manor are married and have kids.
So that's something I wasn't really happy about, but I powered through knowing eventually he would

A compelling, powerful, outstanding book introduces us to Bea's very dark new series

Bea Paige is one of my favourite authors and certainly one of the best authors I have had the privilege of reading on my Kindle. I have read all of the Sisters of Hex books that she has written so far and loved them. The world building is excellent, the characters are real, the imagination fantastic and the series is going from strength to strength. The Brothers Freed trilogy grabbed me and still won't let go, so

Holy wow! The cover is stunning, the writing enthralling and dark, and the characters are unforgettable, addicting and bury themselves in your heart. Bea Paige has outdone herself with this dark and and heartbreaking story of three broken men and the woman that is unknowingly strong enough to build them back into the men they once were.
These men have demons riding them hard and only someone that understands demons can help soothe their inner beasts. Paige constructs worlds, storylines and

Wow...what a different and darkly intriguing new story by Bea Paige. This insanely talented author has gone away from everything I have read from her and come out all guns firing in this intense story that revolves around four damaged and at time disturbing characters. In this first book we just scratch the service on who Rose is and what has happened to her in the past, but what I have learnt so far just want me wanting more! Rose is at times quite brittle and off putting but she has that ...more

Layers of Beauty and Darkness

Oh, I have been waiting anxiously for this story since I first read the teaser! I was so easily drawn into the mystery, the heartache and the pain surrounding these characters. I'm such a mystery lover at heart, I had to dig deeper, I want to know all the secrets these characters carry. We get glimpses and start to understand some of the truth in this story, but the author is determined to tease it out and make us wait to see the full picture. Wow! I love her vision,

*I recieved a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All my thoughts and opinions are my own, I am in no way obligated to sway my review.*

When I first read the blurb I was honestly a little worried that the dancing element wouldn't translate well. That it might muddle the story or become a boring element. That it wouldn't be well incorporated into the story. I was worried this would be pure smut with no substance. I needn't have worried, and it didn't take me long to realize

This story is great for those who seek the darkness of despair and desolation, without wanting to step away from the light so many of us live in.

Have you ever felt like the demons of your past continue to haunt you? Felt like decisions you once made shaped your future? From the first page, Bea Paige is able to captivate you with the story of Ivan, who is tormented by his guilt, and Rose, who refuses to back down from those who seek to destroy her. There is also Anton and Erik, both character

Dark, beautiful and oh so enticing.

I honestly cannot recall a time that I was this invested in characters from chapter one. Rose, Ivan, Anton and Erik stole my heart, their pasts had me teary eyed and I felt as if I were watching a movie. Like I was sitting on the edge of my seat, trying to guess the direction the story would go, attempting to guess their secrets, willing them to be good guys, praying they could find control, willing them to find a way to be whole again, hoping for HEA, but this

Steps is the amazing first book in the Finding Their Muse trilogy. It is heart wrenching to live with these characters, learning about how each has been damaged and scarred, particularly Ivan and Rose in this novel. But in all the pain, there is hope that they will find their place to belong, their way to be set free. As the tension mounts, these characters emerge as broken but not defeated and

Beautiful prose describing such tortured souls

Wow! Since day one of learning Bea Paige was doing a dark tale about dance I was intrigued. Ballet has always captivated my attention and I always found the stories ballerinas tried to recount with their flawless movements to be tragic and heart wrenching. I read this story in one sitting and can tell you that Bea, put pen to paper and described this beautiful art form to its finest degree. Accompany that with the four tragically flawed characters

This has got to be one of my all time favorite book from Bea Paige. This book is so beautifully dark with an intriguing storyline. The intense emotions, the heartbreaking pain and the mentally complicated characters. The brokenness and demons each character has to deal with is heart wrenching. They need each other in the worst way. Ivan and Rose's story is so eloquently written, the detail throughout the whole story is superb. Also Holy Hotness Bea Lady! Having read this book in less than 4 hours, I can absolutely say that it was compelling. Couldn't put it down.

The story of Rose and Ivan is quite riveting with an end that will be surprising. Both characters are riddled with secrets and consumed by dark thoughts. Ivan with his wife's death and Rose with glimpses of a past that is not entirely revealed in this book.

The author also introduces Anton and Eric in this book, assuming these character will be completing the HR for Rose. But how about

This book was freaking awesome!
This story dragged me in after reading the first two paragraphs and I couldn’t climb out until I had gotten to the end of the book.
I haven’t read too many stories by Bea Paige I’ve read a few short stories in a few anthologies that she was in but this is my first full story that I’ve ever read by her and I must say I absolutely love her story weaving.
I’m definitely looking forward to reading the next book in this series because I

Welcome to Browlace Manor!

Every so often you read something that captivates you, enthralls you, asks you to submit to your master, and Steps by Bea Paige is quite frankly a masterpiece.
Ivan is strong, powerful and a master of seduction and dominance.
Anton is reserved and obsessive.
Erik is aggressive and troubled.
Rose is everything you want in an MC! She's strong but vulnerable. She's kind but has a little sass!
Bea choreographs an intricate ballet in Steps between Anton, Erik Ivan And Rose.

If you like a bit of Dark romance then Steps is for you. Bea Paige has done a magnificent job writing this piece it’s hard to put down once you start. I have only started to read darker romance novels recently and I have fallen in love with these characters straight away. It’s so well written I can feel their pain and can’t wait to continue reading their stories. This book, whilst introduces Rose and her love interests, predominantly focuses on Roses and Ivans relationship. Bits and pieces of ...more

WOW. This book left me speechless! I have read all of Bea Paige's other books but this one is totally different from her other stuff. This is FABULOUS. If I could only write one sentence about this book it would be:

"Bea Paige does dark better than Batman" get it? Cause he is the Dark Knight...? No? Okay... Moving on. LOL.

Bea Paige does a fabulous job of bringing the characters to life and creating a story that is enticing and smooth. There is never a time where the story feels forced or that it

Dark. Seductive. Haunting.

Three words that popped to my mind after reading this book. And what a story it is.

I have always been a fan of dark read. From the cover to the blurb, you can say that I am drawn to this book like a moth to a flame. It calls to me. But I wasn’t ready enough.

First page in and I am hooked. I couldn’t, for the life of me, stop reading. The story had me by the throat and wouldn’t let me go. I am seduced by the beautifully broken characters, that chillingly dark tone in

Breathtaking story

This is an Absolutely powerful story! I found myself at times holding my breath, the intensity of the story literally stealing my breath away...I have no words to describe how much this story affected me. Rose was a surprise...she’s so much more than you first realize. I’m intrigued by the men, Ivan, Anton, and Erik...they are such a contrast, and yet, all so very broken. I am totally and completely hooked on this story...I truly cannot wait to see how their story unfolds!
