It was a really fun read.

The action was sufficient and so was the clueless romance. I love that it was shoved into your face. It wasn't the typical girl and guy mains getting together simply because they were both hot and single. I liked that the characters aren't perfect and are so real. I could feel April's pain and the protagonist's confusion of not being able to feel emotions. Great, vivid, breath-taking style, although lacking depth in some story lines. Sounds a bit imitative of western novels, such as the Maze Runner, the Darkest Minds series, the Mortal Instruments series. But good debut.

Quick read, with its fair share of clichés. Writing was easy to read. I enjoyed the set-up of the story to its ultimate ending, which was too quickly wrapped up in my opinion. Overall, an alright book.
