Some simple light read it is!

This is the story of a baseball player and a fan of his baseball team. The ball he throws accidentally lands on her face and she is hospitalized. When he visits her at the hospital, they feel attracted to each other. He is not a man-whore or player. He is a decent guy. He just doesn’t date during the baseball season. However, after a few times he goes out with her, he realizes that he cannot fight w

Melody loves her baseball and attends all home game; little did she know that she was quite literally going to be part of action when she gets hit by a foul ball by the new rookie in the majors, Carson Lawrence. Carson can’t believe he’s hit a fan and can’t help but check on her in the hospital but what he doesn’t expect is for this beautiful young women to knock him off his feet. There is instant attraction and connection between them and all is seemingly going well until the past comes up and ...more

Slow burn romance.

Slow burn romance. This is my first book by this author. And I did like it. It’s a sweet and swooney romance (or to me it was). Plus who doesn’t love a guy in a baseball uniform. 😍😍 I can’t wait to read what this author has in store for Sammie.

So the whole baseball player hits a fan and they fall in love has been done before, I knew this going in to the book but was giving it a chance.

I wanted to like it, I liked the characters and where the story was going but I wanted more. My frustration can be summed up I. The text I sent to a friend noting how I'm at page 210 of a 272 page boom and the major drama hasn't occurred yet. Which of course than lead to the type ending I hate where something huge happens yet the author then

Really enjoyed this sports-related (baseball) romance -- the main characters were perfect for each other. Fast moving and easy, fun-to-read storyline. Sweet and slow build-up with a touch of angst that was totally unexpected.

Ok, but tons of grammatical errors

I liked the story okay, but it was inundated with grammatical errors. For example, the author didn’t know the difference between “through” and “threw.” Those types of errors really distract from the story for me.

Carson and Melody are both no strangers to pain and baseball! Each one has had their fair share of setbacks in life but have done what they could to become successful! Their love for baseball and one horrible accident bring these two together and from moment one you know it’s going to be a wild ride! I found myself halfway through thinking “gosh they are so perfect how is there more to their story?” Well let me tell you *plot twist* I seriously never saw the bomb that was dropped so cuddos Ms. W ...more

This was so flipping cute I can't even deal. Like, if I really think about it I should be giving this book 3.5 stars but the cuteness is way too much and I have to give it 4 stars and I'm not even sorry.

Here's the thing: I love NA books and I love baseball. This book gave me both of these things and it was almost a guaranteed slam dunk for me, er should I say home run. But the thing with this book is that it wasn't just unbelievably cute but I feel like it was a perfectly executed pl

Melody Carrick has been coming to watch the Blue Birds play since she was a little girl with her parents. But opening day 10 years before her parents were killed coming home from the game.

I simply loved it!
The depth of the characters is something I love, why? because is not like a simple story you don't connect with, on the contrary, I found myself smiling like a loon after reading some chapters of this book

If you love sports or even if you don't take a chance on it and read the book.

Carson and Melody are match made in baseball heaven. I absolutely loved everything about them. How they first met, after Carson hit Mel with a foul ball. And the rest is history and I honestly couldn't get enough of them. So many laughs, love, an so much more.

Sweet Read!

This was a really sweet read by Trish Wiiliford. I work at a baseball stadium so it was fairly easy for me to get into the storyline. I truly enjoyed reading about Carson and Melody. They were a truly enjoyable couple. This was my first novel by this author and it won't be my last.

A foul ball hitting her in the face leads to baseball fan Melody meeting new rookie player Carson in hospital. They become fast friends and more in this very enjoyable story.

Carson is not the standard baseball star who sleeps around. He is aware he needs to grab his chances in the majors but is also falling for Melody. Refreshing read. I liked both characters and the storyline. Carson has such a lovely mom! And I would love to visit the island Captiva now.

The story grabbed my attention and nev

Reread:

I was so scared that this was going to be one of those books where rereading it would only make me realise it wasn't that great. Thankfully I still enjoyed it the second time as much as I did the first! I don't reread books I've read often but part of the reason I decided to read this again was because I wanted to read Ryan and Sam's book that just came out and I needed a refresher on the characters. But rereading this also made me realise maybe I don't want to read Ryan's book because w

Melody is a Bluebirds baseball team fan. She has been through tragic loss in her life. She is a strong, happy, independent young lady. She is at a baseball game and and incident occurs and Carson comes into her life. Carson is a baseball player with his own issues. They both meet and are totally attracted to each other, but Carson doesn't want to date anyone during his rookie season. But they are drawn to each other. There are twists and turns I did not see coming. I liked this book a lot. What ...more

I love this book!! The characters are so real and loveable I can't wait to read this book again and again! Carson and Melody were destined to meet. She is the biggest fan girl there is when it comes to the Baltimore Blue Birds and he is the Rookie trying his best in a game he loves. But one foul ball sets them on the journey of their lives when they fall in love. Whether you love baseball or not you will love this book!

I was lucky enough to win this book as an arc. Let me tell you this book was amazing! It had the perfect amount of baseball and romance mix. I love Carson And Melody. Trisha does an excellent job of writing her characters. I feel that she really gives them good personality and story lines. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good sports romance. I can’t wait to read more of this series.

What a great introduction to a new to me author Trish Williford. I love to read sports romance novels, and I think Trish did a wonderful job in balancing out the sports side to the romance side. I love when sports books have on field action, and this one certainly had that. But I also enjoyed the locker room banter as well. I think that is when you really see another side to a character than just the romantic one.
This story had an extremely unique take on the whole boy meets girl start to

Every year since she was a child, Melody has loved to go see her favorite baseball team play. This year she get the surprise of her life when she is hit in the face on opening day. Little does she know it will change her life. I loved following Melody and Carson's story as they are brought together by their love of the game, but may be torn apart by a event from both of their pasts.

This was a really fun and extremely cute book. It pacing isn’t usually my style but it was refreshing to read about two genuinely good and “normal” people - no bad boys or ice queens or anything - who happen to fall in love. There’s an argument that the romance wasn’t a slow burn but a bit of instalove-y but it really didn’t bother me.

I absolutely adored the main characters. Carson especially was an absolute breath of fresh air. In general their dynamic was so sweet and even the big plot twist

Cute, sweet, and with some serious real estate porn. Still, the writing was a little sparse, there were a few editing/ autocorrect errors, and the big tell off scene with Mel wasn’t particularly emotionally satisfying (without spoiling anything, I felt like I needed to see arrogance in the present tense to feel happy with her yelling at this man. A few phone calls and off screen action do not a satisfying villain make).

Best romantic comedy I have ever read.

Firstly, I’m not a huge fan of instalove. I am SUPER picky about it. I feel that it exists, but under the right conditions.

This book was the PERFECT conditions. The comedy played as a back prop to the usual ironic humor life tends to (throw) at us. It was BELIEVABLE because the characters had real chemistry that you feel before they even meet. There was something fantastic about how they met and how the events unfolded afterward. I almost expect

I love Baseball and I love reading, so combine the two together and it is pure perfection!! I wanted to love this book and for the most part I did, but there were a few things about it that made it a 3.5 (rounded up) star book for me.

The author had some facts wrong in the book regarding the game itself. There were a few timing issues in the story as well when it seemed to jump ahead and then back. The flow of it left the reader confused at times and baffled at others. The author jump
